Eventual Avatars

In light of the recent Ubisoft debacle regarding "insufficient time/resources" to create a female player option/avatar - I wondered if/hoped Frontier were going to give us the option of at least male/female player avatars in the eventual endgame/fps elements.

In the greater scope of Elite to this point it really hasn't mattered, but with the (positive) additional direction being taken with this most latest and grandest iteration (as somewhat peeked at in the new trailer) I hope that FD are making "sufficient time/resources" to provide diversity in the player avatar selection/creation.

For my part I would love it if the game had a very comprehensive avatar creation system, catering for colour, gender, shape, and who knows.. species? Eve Online's avatar creation system was a thing of wonder back in the day for what amounted to a largely unnecessary element of the game as was at launch - hope Elite will follow suit :)

I'd certainly expect hem to have the basics covered. No point adding a major new feature to the game and doing a bad job of it. But personally I'm not bothered of they have a hundred customisation options. Just the major ones would do for me.
