I bought all ED games on the Frontier store. Used to use the ED Launcher, but move over to steam. (Using the partner key).

No partner keys for Odissey listed in my frontier account. There are keys for ED and Horizons though.
Is there a way to get a "partner key" for odyssey to activate it in steam? i dont want to link both accounts, as i want to be sure i dont have to open steam always in the future to play it, i want to stay independently from steam.
You can still use the launcher even with the account linked
But same as you i want to get a steam key so the updates are done in the background
You only downloaded Horizons upgrade. Odyssey is about 52 GB download and it does not copy from the alpha files. I just finished the download from Frontier.

Got 1.7 GB update on Steam.
Didn't get the 50~ GB update so far, already tried all the things and restarted Steam multiple times.
I can see Odyssey in the launcher but the install button is greyed out.
Steam Account is linked with Frontier Account.
Asked Frontier support yesterday and i was being told it should work, even if i bought Odyssey on Frontier Store.
But it doesn't, install button is greyed out.
No partner keys are listed in my frontier account.
Already tried to login with frontier account by starting the EDLaunch.exe manually (steam was still open).
But that didn't work, it then tells me to buy the product.

Thanks, so this means if i would link both accounts, i would still be able to open just the Launcher without steam for sure? Is it possible to un-link both accounts anytime is you want?
Oh and if i would link them, should'nt steam "see" after it that i own odyssey, and start the download? or is this only possible with these partney keys?
I'm in the EXACT same situation than you. But i did not linked both accounts yet.
I launched just the ED Launcher without steam (opend it with Admin rights). I could select "Install" at the launcher (opend via steam it was greyed out in the launcher as you said). Than for about 10 minutes it seemed the launcher just crashed, nothing happend anymore. But after waiting, it now started to download the game.
But idk how this will work with steam in the future, as it's still "thinking" i do now own odyssey, so maybe that will trigger a conflict in the future when updates for odyssey are released.........
Best would be Frontier would give us a partner key for steam, so steam will knew we own odyssey and we could update via steam without problems in the future!
FDev already stated that the servers would be down until 1800UTC/1900BST, they likely released the majority of the update so it doesn't flood the servers in one go when the servers are back up, and we'll likely have a smaller update just prior to server re-opening later.
My Steam automatically downloaded the 48.9GB update earlier this afternoon and attempted to play via the launcher (for science), getting the same "requires an update" prompt, so I imagine that's the case anyway.
I pre-purchased Odyssey via Steam.
That's worrisome. Did you also have the Alpha installed?
Doesn't work here, it tells me to purchase or redeem the product after i log in with the frontier account.
Steam open or closed, doesn't matter, always getting the same result.
Yes. I still have it, I plan to delete the folder later.
