G force in these ships would transform you to a pile of pulp in the chair.
I believe one of the books said the chairs produce a gel when we are in them that covers our suits or something.
how do you even exceed the gforce limits? is this new / beta? i've never seen this before...
If I remember correctly they set the limit for redout (negative g forces) to something like 14G and blackout to 18G. Plrase don't quote me on these numbers but it was around that size, which is A LOT. However with futuristic technology maybe survivable for short periods.
To my knowledge there is no ship capable of reaching blackout forces, however a couple can reach redout with the right setup and boost.
Hmmm if it's 14 to 18G's to redout then blackout has to be well in the 20's... the first picture is a mild blackout so the FAS can much to my surprise...
Not quite sure how a suit will protect your internal organs from +20G (normal flight) Pulling hard maneuvers in these ships would outright kill anybody onboard. A while back one of the devs commented on the whole red out thing, he was surprised they had left it ingame from early beta.
Actually it wouldn't exactly turn you into goo, however it most definitely would make you pass out. The most dangerous thing that can happen in regards to G forces is blood leaving or entering the brain. Without a suit 8-9 postive G and 3-4 negative G would make you lose consciousness and kill you if it takes longer. This issue can be countered by suits up to fairly high numbers as long as you have the necessary technology. Forces, where your internals get crushed and stuff like that are at much higher forces - e.g. falling on concrete (several 100+G).
I never said it would turn you into goo, it would kill you outright. Dead stop to max boost speed in a Cobra is 23G, Pitching full up/or down whilst boosting and it's game over. The Clipper is an extreme example of how crazy the G forces are when flying these ships (bridge full forward from the Center of gravity)
Let's face it, redout from negative G was put in as a gimmick
No, 14 for redout, 18 for blackout. There is a difference. Blackout is positive G force (blood leaving your brain), redout is negative G force (blood rushing in your brain and eyes). The picture is a redout (at least should be).
Sorry don't mean to argu with you but the first picture is a blackout (positive G's) but it's so faint it's barely noticeable, but the little ship vector icon down to the right is pointing upwards.... but okey 18G's to blackout got it.

I think all can reach negative Gs. Ive done it in my dropship multiple times with assist on. And i think we can agree that the drooship isnt the most mobile ship in the game![]()

Just an FYI, 15G+ sustained and you start receiving damage to internal organs.
