Exhibit Animals - can they breed?

Hey guys!

I was wondering if exhibit animals can breed? I mean how many snakes will be in there if they get babies? 😂

What do you guys think or know?

I believe it has been confirmed that exhibit animals can breed, but I don't remember where, so I can't provide proof. However, I don't think it's been said what their max number is for litters.

I've heard that they acted mostly like statues, and only moved places when your not looking at them. Hopefully though, they can breed since it would make them a bit more interesting, and less like decorations.

My guess is it is limited due to the relatively small size a exhibit has.

Though I'm hoping for a piece by piece exhibit option to make larger exhibits.

Thats interesting. I wonder if you can choose how many of the animals you want in the exhibit manually then, instead of it just being three iguanas in one exhibit with no changes.

Oh thats good to hear! I am also wondering if exhibit animals can escape? Like, why even bother manipulating humidity and temp if there are no consequences other than making the animal "unhappy". And if they do escape, do they have run/walk animations?

They won't escape, they'll become unhappy and die.

Or has anyone ever seen a Iguana break through glass?

Well, the only thing I know about the exhibit 'break outs' is I remember where they said the Brazilian Wandering Spider could get out, but not sure how or when.

Also, what if they don't break out persay, what if the door gets left unlocked? The terrariums have a door on one side, atleast at the Gulfarium where I live does.

Are you sure? I also heard someone said spiders can excape but I think it was not official; the only thing I found, is this article where they say that animals can excape (page 37, top right) and they reveal the Brazilian W. Spider (page 37 bottom right) but probably the two things are not related and only "big animals" can excape. I didn't found nothing else about the spider.
The terrarium does not seem to have a door; I think the keepers don't deal with terrarium animals.
Most important of all, I think that an animal not coded for move around his terrarium, even more so can't go around the zoo.

If what you say is true, I would be highly disappointed. Terrarium animals do not need a zookeeper to care for them? How do they get replenished food bowls? How does the tank remain clean? The only way for this to work is if they gave that control to us, the player. Otherwise it wouldn't make any sense. Surely terrarium animals dont just require humidity and temp to remain happy.....

Not sure if that last question was sarcastic or not, but no Iguanas do not break glass. They do however, have the mental capacity to figure their way out of a tank if not set up properly (snakes are notorious for this). It would be easy to believe they could do this in game as well. That is if they allow terrarium animals to escape which I think they should.

But then there's the matter where the terrarium animals can't move in their terrarium unless your not looking at it, so I wouldn't think they'd have escape animations, however I could be wrong.

Oh I personally could care less about how it looks when/if they escape. But without it, essentially this will make the terrarium animals "easier" to maintain, which I disagree with.

Yes a little bit ;).

Of course animals could escape. But I don't think that will be a option in the game for exhibit animals. If you have the wrong temperature or stuff, the animal will probably just get ill, and then after some time eventually will pass away.

As they are being some sort of statue, and not really moving around in the exhibit, we probably won't see them running around our park either, or they would just vanish into thin air.
