Newcomer / Intro Exiting Supercruise - Speed Issue

Yes and as far as I know this module comes as standard in all newly-purchased ships. Maybe you already have one. If so you can see it in the modules list (2nd tab in right hand cockpit panel). Maybe you have scroll down to see it.
I will check ....... soon ....... ;)

My reflexes aren't the best, so my method takes that into account.

I target the station and head toward it in SC at full speed.

When the timer says 10 seconds to go, I hit the key that sets my throttle to 75% (V for me). I use 10 seconds because if I wait all the way until 6 seconds I'm sometimes too slow and miss it :)

Then I just wait for the blue disengage notice, and hit the key for that (J for me).

With a bit of practice you'll have no trouble, I'm sure.

I head towards the station at full speed until the timer drops under 5 seconds and hit zero throttle, loop around keeping the station less than 1ls away for the final loop, when I have slowed enough and the station is at 12 Oclock, hit 75% until directly pointed at the station then hit max thrust until disengage message pops up.

I like this. I don't have or need anything but an 80-year-old reflexes: 10sec is perfect for me. 👍

Yes ...... I have one! :D That is in Solo Play Mode. But I'll delay using until I've got manual supercruising beaten. ;)

The only difference between the play modes is in the players you are allowed to meet, your ship the galaxy everything else is the same in all modes.

This doesn't apply to the tutorials etc as they are set just for those scenarios.

I've bound a key to achieve 75% full throttle forward, but when I use it, it sends me into 75% in reverse! 🙁 How do I change it to send me 75% full throttle forward? Thanks.

SORRY!!! Had it set to -75%

Similar, but what I usually aim for is to bleed speed looping until the station is lined up on the other side of the planet, then it's full throttle and skim past the planet to further decelerate. Beautiful when it works, although all too easy to lose time stuck in mud climbing out of the deep end of the gravity well.

Half the fun is the mistakes and learning to avoid them. The other day I was looping in to my FC from the outer system after mapping a planet, it was all going well until I suddenly realised the FC was behind the star, and now I am heading straight for the star at ludicrous speed, a B type as well, to big to avoid by then! Also, never do this while your FC is orbiting a NS or WD, that was the most exciting experience I have had with the game for a long time! As you say, beautiful when it works!

FC ?

Fleet Carrier - something new that came up during your absence.
A player owned big ship that offers station-like services, bit is mobile.

Yep, there I was looping in and all of a sudden the yellow circle turned all dotted and jumped behind the star, oops!

I had that happen to me, but it was not a star it was just a Planet and I dropped out the wrong side. Had a really big job getting the other side ! It was so much further away than thought !

First Law of ED: It's always on the OTHER side. (Also known as: "if there's a statistical 50% chance that a given situation will turn out in your favor, the ED chance is 120% that it will not." ;)

Actually, that's the Second Law. The first is, of course, "don't fly without rebuy."
