What is the fastest way to grind Exobiologist Rank ? Right now Im scanning Stratum Tectonicas that have been found before, that means it gives me 806k each. I was using and grinding rock body that has thin water atmosphere but didnt explore before. But between the systems that spansh gave me, far from each other. I was 10-15kLY away from bubble. Just wanna know which way is efficient to do that.

If you only care about that specific rank going away from explored space is the slowest way to gain it.

Yeah, either fast but tedious and painful, or slow but nice and calm. It's all down to your mindset.
Yeah I was using this site. Now I made a DBX, away from the bubble 10kLY. Searched for bodies that have thin water atmosphere, Max 5kLS and between 165k-800k temp. Currently 1 body gives me around 3-4m and sometimes I find extras like other atmospheres and another species but DBX is really important you dont need to take your srv out and drift all the time. I made myself a list and I'm slowly exploring, enjoying the scenery.
Yep. Unfortunately, the first logged bonus is too low to make going after undiscovered bodies the better prospect. The lucrative species are rare, the thin water atmo. landables are significantly more rare than ELWs, and the FSS doesn't show atmospherics on the barcode. So, finding your own is much slower than just looking already-discovered ones up from the crowdsourced data, and the first logged bonus is much too low to offset this.
Seems like this is how it was intentionally designed though, so unlikely to ever change.
Yes, I'm aware of thin water atmo. landables. Let's put some numbers behind them, shall we? There are around 67,000 of them uploaded to EDDN, compared to around 370,000 ELWs. The rough chance of an ELW is around 3% per system in the best conditions (A/F main star, mass code D system), and the rough chance of a thin water atmo is around 0.4% per system in the best conditions (B main star, mass code E system).
So if you're looking for one that's undiscovered, that'll take a while. It's much quicker to just go through the crowdsourced data and go after what's already discovered, even if you won't be the first to log the flora. In the time it would take to find a new thin water atmo. planet, you can go through many more already-uploaded ones, and the first logged bonus is nowhere near enough to offset this.
Meanwhile, to reach Exobiology Elite, 432 million Cr is required (last time I checked), so that'll be grinding through nearly a hundred planets with the same plants and generally the same skies. Quite doable, sure, but it is a monotonous grind to rank up this way.

I didnt say its easy ofc. Land, find, scan etc. but you missing something. You can search by ''last update time'' on spansh. So I say 2 year back. Radius 2000LY and max. 5000kLS. Found a system 15kLY from the bubble and result, gave me 250 body with this conditions. Every body is undiscovered. Yes, that will take a time but at least 1 body give me around 3-5m.
You can land a body and that gives you 806k (If you go for stratum) or try spansh body search and take 3-5m from an undiscovered body. Just I am looking for the most effective method and I guess that's it. Cause I dont have much time for that (but i spent too much time doing research lol)
A few month ago I traveled from Colonia to the Aphelion, down the Sagittarius Carina Arm, east to Magellan's Star and back to Colonia. About 250,000 Ly. I found about 5 undiscovered water atmo planets on that journey. The painful part was that I had to scan every rock in every system. That is quite different from searching for ELW's. Took me about 3 month. When I started the journey I was Taxonomist, now I am Geneticist. But I doubt that I am going any further. At every rank progression you have to double the effort. It just gets to repetitive and tiresome.
I agree. Thats why I was looking for the most effective method but these days the most effective method is going for water atmo planets (rock and [especially] HMCW).
