I've been thinking about spending the rest of my years with Elite doing a Grand Tour of the entire galaxy in my FC. The reason for this, I believe, is that some exobiology finds are generally specific to the region in which they appear. So this set me thinking...
I wonder if anyone has already worked out the shortest possible route a fleet carrier should take to visit each region of the galaxy?
This tour is just an idea at the moment but I feel an overwhelming urge to want to see all the various life-forms the Elite galaxy has to offer.
At age 64, an optimal route to visit each and every region, with the minimum of light years distance wasted, might be a good idea.
I' ve tried many possible map routes with pen and paper but no definitive optimal route has turned up yet...
Preferably, I'd like to start at the galactic core. It's like a puzzle that is waiting to be solved.
