Dinosaurs Exotic Cosmetic Skin Mega Pack

Most of us love exotic skins for our dinosaurs and I believe Frontier could release another Cosmetic Skin Pack but with more variety than the one involving the raptor squad pack. I believe that a pack of 24 skins for 12 Dinosaurs would be awesome. $12.00 U.S

Tyrannosaurus Rex
Spinosaurus
Carnotaurus
Harrerasaurus
Velociraptor
Apatosaurus
Diplodocus
Allosaurus
Acrocanthosaurus
kentrosaurus
Troodon
Baryonyx

For us Exotic Cosmetic Skin lovers I think it would definitely be a sale if Frontier were two include skins that are not linked to the Canon but just for fun and for also beauty as well for our dinosaurs. 1+ This Post if you agree also, if you feel like more could be added.

You know, there are some pretty cool stuff in the established lore of the films themselves that could workout for this idea concept. But first, I do want to say that I thought there was really nothing else in this game I could think of to receive proper skin packs, because the Raptor Squad skins were special in that you can make replica look-alikes of the character raptors (not the characters themselves, which they wanted to avoid as of any indication of their past posts long ago). But, what you suggested I think could work if another dino skin based DLC is to be decided to be a thing where, instead of having individual packs for each species, which would be really cheap and contrived as they won't be as special as the Raptor Squad pack, how about have a whole pack of them for multiple species?

The easy ones I think they can go for are the ones featured in in-universe Jurassic World themed sources. They are some of the same for what I have suggested for other concept idea threads which were for gender differentiation (specifically for breeding with male and female dinos with their own unique looks) from a big free update, and the more simple 2015 time zone era cosmetic gene idea for a big DLC. But, if any of them are to be decided to be implemented into the game, but not by any of these are to make it as any of the two I suggested, this concept of yours I think is another wonderful candidate of an option to consider.

They are:

1. Baryonyx (model change): From the viral in-universe official website for the first Jurassic World film, now the Isla Nublar website.

6. Stegoceratops (model change): From the screen monitor in the hybrid labs. While a live Stegoceratops never made it in on screen, a full fledged detailed 3D model of it was still made for it. Its model was even used for that lab computer model on screen.

(That is, of course, the owners would allow Frontier to use this design.)
There are plenty of other I could think of, but those I think would be up to Frontier to make up themselves, as long as their designs remain in that aimed JP film themed authenticity this game goes for, of course. That's why Universal is there to help them with such designs, as confirmed. Those three images you posted above can be of good inspiration for ideas to build from.

There are also some cut skins for the game that I noticed, both from early development and post launch, that they could bring back for such concept, the former which I suggested for a gender difference design. If the mentioned former are decided, but not for that, then how about for this.

1. Struthiomimus: There are at least two cut skins for this dinosaur in this pre-release image. The one up close has that yellow neck and those teal splotches on the main body. The one farthest to the back may look similar to the final game's basic skin, but if you look more closely, it's a lot more black than pale and creamy.
JWE_Screenshot_9.jpg

2.Indominus rex: When the game first came out, the Indominus rex's Coastal skin was all black in color, while the rest of the alternate skins (except the basic/null gene skin) had that visible stripped pattern on its body. As such, it was redisgned to be more cohesive to match the other alternate skins, as all dinosaurs with two alternate patterns have a maximum of three each for their six basic cosmetic genes. Some dinosaurs, like the Indominus rex, have only one pattern, but their basic skins generally blend in the visible parts. Below is the original Indominus's Coastal skin before it was changed to be more cohesive with the rest of its alternate skin options.

Oh, about this pack concept. I would recommend this being a naming convention for the alternate choice being "Exotic Gene", with the source of the skin colors being "CLASSIFIED" as with the Raptor Squad skins, because cosmetic genes in this game are generally from a respective modern animal gene. So instead of showing what animals these genes are from, just label their sources as "CLASSIFIED". Also, since these would be so diverse from the rest of the cosmetic gene options, how about make the color tab icons from the gene modifier blanked out with empty outlines or whatever, just so they are more mysterious?

Definitely would love some more skins, especially for Apatosaurus, tsintaosaurus, corythosaurus, diplodocus, styrachosaurus, pachycephalosaurus and kentrosaurus....

Then it'd also be great with some more skins for majungasaurus, Suchumimus, Giganotosaurus, Spinosaurus, carnotaurus, galimimus, troodonvvvvvģgtþýyýþþ⅝ (aaand then i fell asleep)

good ideas, but i dont think the movie Stegoceratops is the same Hybrid as the one we have ingame. it looks more like a Nasutoceratops and not a Triceratops

But i would really like to see the simplier jurassic World Alive Stegoceratops. the current one looks a bit over the top

And i also would want a redesign/modelchange for the ankylodocus

A skin or two that brought an alternate model would be nice for Dilophosaurus., because the Hologram in JW was the same size, if not bigger than the Raptor, and the one from Fallen Kingdom would be interesting as well.

Still, it is still an established Stegoceratops design in the film lores. Film lore established designs I think are easier for them to go for, because they have a huge Universal Studios presence, even more than Ludia's own designs, and they don't copy and paste designs from other JP video games in that sense. They can take inspirations from them, but they won't straight up copy and paste them like totally from games that aren't their own, because they confirmed that it's not their style.

well i dont have a problem with the film-stegoceratops but it is simply not a triceratops+stegosaurus. so it also shouldnt be one in JWE. and i dont want the Jurassic World Alive model 1:1, just a simplier version of what we have currently

The model they've made will very unlikely change, but I agree that it is hideous. If it had a smaller neck-shield thing or smaller Stegosaurus back plates it might've been a little bit easier on the eyes. 🤔 but mixing a Stegosaur and triceratops together maybe just can't give good results... triceratops and ankylosaurus maybe? Triceratops and kentrosaurus? Ankylosaurus and kentrosaurus? 😁 i dunno, hybrids aren't really that interesting to me.. maybe if they mix a Suchumimus with a quetzalcoatlus and make it unable to fly but looking really really strange? Hmmmm... still nope... I want realistic dinosaurs xD

well dont get me wrong, i like the idea of hybrids but as you said, they need to look realistic. the ankylodocus looks boring af and the stegoceratops looks just too over the top. The spinoraptor shows me however Frontier is capable of creating good looking hybrids. and also Jurassic World Alive showed me there is potential for good hybrids.
sth like the JWA stegoceratops and Nodopatosaurus for example would look quite cool in JWE.

I have been searching around the internet for ideas for examples they could go for this kind of concept for various species. Maybe they could do this for each of the species. Whatever the case, I think it would be best if they stuck with one "exotic" skin per dinosaur species. The examples I'm going to show are stuff that could fit well with the theme Frontier are going for this game of theirs. They've confirmed a long time ago their dino skins are purposefully designed to look like they would belong in the series (particularly, without explicitly saying this, from what I've seen, the film series), with the help and guidance of Universal Pictures themselves. So, here's some details I'm gonna share that could fit with this goal of theirs regarding dinosaur skins.

The first one bellow is based on a cut, but reasonable design from the production of one of the movies.

1. Pteranodon (model change): The Pteranodons from the JP DLC all have the same model, including the ones based on the ones from The Lost World: Jurassic Park, which used a slight different model on-screen. However, there was a piece of concept art for these pterosaurs that closely resembled the questionable genus, Geosternbergia. Although the design never made it to the final film for the pterosaurs, the exact design was still carried over to two subsequent Lost World games. There is no current positive consensus that both genuses are synonyms, since the pterosaurs with this design are supposed to represent Pteranodons in the games, and that all the ptero skins in-game are based on only one model, this I think could be a good way to add an "exotic skin" with a model change to the JP DLC Pteranodons in-game. It is, again, concept art that didn't make it on-screen, by the way.

The remaining eight bellow are designs are stuff from various places, including other JP franchise games. Now, because of this, they would be unable to legally copy and paste these designs I'm sharing as examples. Instead, they are just for reference to kinda build from for their own designs, as long as they stay within Frontier's confirmed goal for dino skins as mentioned above.
2. Acrocanthosaurus (no model change): Some dinosaurs, like the Acrocanthosaurus, have two alternate skins that differ in both pattern design and color intensity. To make an "exotic skin" feel more special to them, how about have a skin that is a mix in between? One where the new and unique eye-catching patterns are much around the body and the colors around it aren't always too dull or too intense. Something like the Acrocanthosaurus from Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis for example bellow.
007.jpg

3. Stegosaurus (no model change): Some dinosaurs, like the Stegosaurus, have only plain body patterns, outside of their plates. Having an "exotic skin" to have an eye catching pattern on the main body would be one perfect way to do so. For Stegosaurus in particular, many people who know the franchise will remember it as a green colored dinosaur, so why not something interesting in that color league like this image bellow from one of the few pieces of merchandise for Jurassic Park?
collcard3_front.jpg

4. Maisaura (no model change): There are some dinosaurs in-game that have only one pattern for all of their skins, rather than two in their skin categories. The Maiasaura, for instance, has a very stripped pattern going across their bodies. To balance things out to make things more special looking, maybe have an "exotic skin" where the Maiasaura has no heavily patterned body. Either no pattern at all, like in this image of a museum model of one bellow, or at least keep the heavy pattern to not only a great difference, but to a very low minimum.
maiasaura-hwb-maiasaura-replica.jpg

5. Ouranosaurus (no model change): Some dinosaurs have exclusively plain patterned skins all around, such as the Ouranosaurus. To add life and uniqueness to them, perhaps a more standing out detail would be nice. However, I wouldn't recommend anything too crazy looking for them. An Ouranosaurus "exotix skin" would probably still be kept grounded to its style in-game, but with a balanced touch of detail on them somewhere, something like the Ouranosaurs from the 2011 BBC documentary, Planet Dinosaur, for instance.
Ouranosaurus.png

6. Spinosaurus (no model change): For some species with only one pattern that is heavily detailed, they don't have to become duller for an "exotic gene", they can an alternative detailed looking skin with a unique look in both pattern shape and colors. The Spinosaurus I believe can be one of them, and here's an example from the game, Warpath: Jurassic Park that you can unlock on survival mode.
Untitled.png

7. Indoraptor (no model change): Some dinosaurs are mostly very dark. In particular, the Indoraptor is always black in the general sense. So, like the black Indominus rex further above in another comment, an "exotic skin" for the Indoraptor could perhaps be white in color instead. There is concept art of a "second Indorraptor" to be pale white in color that didn't make it pass concept for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom for reference.
dcy3lne-fa0ef948-cb4b-4ffe-8f75-08c12a369a3e.jpg

8. Spinoraptor (model change): What I like about hybrid dinosaurs in general is that you can come up with various designs per type. For the ones that appeared on-screen, I believe have a lesser chance for such concept here. But, the ones that didn't, which were the hybrids introduced in the Dr. Wu DLC, I think have a much better chance. The Spinoraptor in particular can have a unique "exotic skin" design with a less pronounced sail and a head that is a little more spinosaurid-like, something like this piece of art I found from DeviantArt, by user Tapwing.
reimagined_spinoraptor_by_tapwing_dctgqa0-fullview.jpg

9. Triceratops (model change): Ceratopsians in general I believe have a chance for a change in frill and/or horn shape, as long as they are kept grounded enough to represent what species they are supposed to be. The image bellow from the handheld game, Jurassic Park III: Park Builder, I admit is probably way too over the top for this game. But the idea should still be pointed out for an "exotic skin" for the Triceratops, where it's horns can have a slight curve effect and maybe being a little bit extended (not as much for the nasal horn as shown bellow), kind inspired by how rhino individuals can have different shaped horns. At the same time, should have a skin that is unique (but not too crazy looking) from the rest of the default skins.

I think JWE could do with some skin packs if the details are done well.
I would love to see non-movie version of the movie dinosaurs based on the JW art, and I could also see some skin options for the hybrids, as a means of play with their genetic makeup.

Well - The T.rex, Velociraptor, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus & Parasaurolophus have already received skin via the Return to Jurassic Park.

So additional skins aren't really needed. However I do think it would be nice a couple extra skins for the following.
  • Acrocanthosaurus
  • Allosaurus
  • Apatosaurus
  • Baryonyx
  • Carnotaurus
  • Diplodocus
  • Suchomimus
  • Spinosaurus
