Question, if your pending expansion but you can’t expan from the system pending. How do it work. I have read you will go into an extension expansion extending the range. However, last time this happened we bounced around from another system we own. Could somebody clearify what happens? Thank you for your responses
Can't expand as in no system that fits the rule?
If you don't have a suitable system to expand into the Expansion will end and you will start an Investment if your influence is above 75% as I understand.
Investment will expand the search size to about 40 ly, but should follow the same criteria of 6 or less factions.
There might be a system in range where a rarer Invasion occurs - if there is 7 factions present, but at least one is a non-native and (I assume) low enough on influence you will contest the space in the system by a War.
If you win, you will be in that system.
I am not sure if the other fail criteria still exists, but it used to be if you lost enough influence in the system for the Expansion it would fail and nothing happens. But I have not witnessed or heard of that in a very long time.
