Hi guys,
I really like the improvements you have made to exploration. It makes the game more fun by not having to flit around a system scanning each body unless you really want to map them.
The only issue I have with this is that while in the cockpit or on the system map, there is no way to quickly tell if you have already mapped a body or not. I know that the grid shows up when you get close, but how can you tell if you are at a great distance? Nothing shows up on the navigation pane, or on the targeting reticle, or on the system map.
Could you please consider maybe putting a small analysis-blue tic mark at the 9:00 position on the targeting reticle, or using the same blue, change the font color in the navigation pane or the icon color, and also some kind of mark on the system map and the orrery?
Additionally, I think it would be fun if, after mapping a planet, you would allow us to set a manual waypoint on a landable planetary surface so that we could land near any geological feature (I don't mean the new geological waypoints) so that we could check it out? I'm talking about on bodies with no biological or geological features. Maybe I would like to check out the summit of a particularly large mountain or an interestingly winding canyon.
Great job so far everyone!
