So I have been doing exploration for a while but I have been scanning systems and mapping planets but i'm not getting a single penny, you guys know why?

Again, you won't not until you hand in your discoveries to the stellar cartographer when landed on a station that has one.

Yep, FD (really gotta stop writing that it's only F now but that has different meanings) decided you would not be able to see what exploration data you have accumulated until access Universal Carto.

You don't get bonds for exploring, the amount you get is hidden away secretly until you hand it in at a universal cartographer, unless of course you install a utility like EDDiscovery, which I would recommend if you are on PC, that gives you at least a tough idea of what you have.

Noooo, don't take this advice. If you do then you will have a rough idea of how much your seven weeks' worth of exploring in the black would have been worth to you had you managed to hand the data in. Just losing your ship after seven weeks out in the black with more than enough in the bank for a rebuy is bad enough, you do not need to compound the depression my having any clue as to how much money you lost as well.

As far as help goes, you might want to check out the dssa initiative. That is a group of commanders who have put Fleet carriers out in the Deep in support of exploration. There is a link for it in the exploration forum.
