Exploration Rank change, a solution.

As an explorer I am excited about being able to make more profit in the future. I think it is totally fine not to give us the Credits for already sold data retroactively.

Now the new rank progression implementation - it is seriously uncool in the current format.

"The requirements will be increased accordingly, your current ranks will stay the same.

SOLUTION:
How about making already sold data count for twice the amount on the rank progression scale alone (not in a monetary sense)? That would ensure everyone is in the right place on the rank progression scale.

Thanks for a great game Frontier

Hold on I missed the part about exploration bonuses. The credit value of data is going up, but there's no retroactive patching to bring ranks and balance into line with it?

Well this is darn peculiar. It's not like we can go and scan all those systems again.

That is in fact a very good idea. Your current rank would be tied to the same amount of effort (i.e. stuff scanned) as if it had been done with the new prices, unlike the current solutation which means you are now lower up the ladder but are merely allowed to keep your rank until you have climbed all the way up to higher grounds.

Peculiar indeed! We could go scanning, but what would be the point. FD is creating a rank progression issue here only affecting explorers and completionists who already have substantial exploration rank.

It's fine as it is, the changes they have made are perfect.

Thanks for clarifying hehe, we all love Frontier don´t worry.

How is this going to affect anyone negatively? Oh and please disclose your exploration rank, it is easy for people with no exploration effort behind them to state "everything is fine".

Thanks for the support. I honestly can´t see how this would hurt anyone?

I hope Mr. Broookes takes a listen to the minute segment of explorers in their game.

Lol, okay, I explore because I am told to.....

The Emperor protects! Oh wrong universe..

Well he has already ignored us once - the post of mine that generated the reply in your OP already talked about doubling the effect of the past exploration. I got the impression that he did not really understand the issue, or answered something else.

I think the best thing to do is to all clamber into the thread in the bug forum:

https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=125591

I get the impression that the more posts there are on a thread in there, the quicker QA look at it. This is one where there is an easy fix, but the fix gets harder as time passes and people get progress mingled together at two rates.

Thanks for pointing me to your thread. I agree we should consolidate our efforts in one thread.

I do not think, however, that it will help us much to state things like your first sentence above, despite understanding your pain :)
