Exploration Ships and Kit

Yes you can do the G 180-18 to Aulin trade run in a Cobra, Type 6 and an Asp later on LoSt. The Cobra earned me the Type 6 and the Type 6 earned me the Asp I shall loose soon, and my Viper gone......oh well, only another 60 hours to an Asp and 150 or so to an Anaconda.
But all those ships I mentioned above need to make a jump to a near system then the final jump to Aulin or G 180-18 to complete each stage of the trade run with full cargo loads LoSt. I used to vary it from Styx or Opala, then the other way Ovid I think it was, but try to vary dropping out points so pirates don't wait for you. But Interdiction's are very common now and you have to run if you do loose the Interdiction battle because of the Value of the load chap, especially in a Type 6 which even from brand new go's into meltdown when you activate the frame shift drive..l.o.l.
I see you found G 180-18 near Opala I think it is, so just run along that line of systems to Styx and Aulin watching your radar for peeps from behind trying to bush-wack your valuable superconductors as you drop into one system only to frame shift to your destination LoSt.
P.S. the G 180-18 outfitters at the Alexandria station has some excellent power plants, shied generators and system power things modules for sale LoSt, grab them early morning time and get the best on offer bud.
Run Fast...Run Silent...

Depending what you want the D rating kit is actually very good. Sure, you want completely pimped out go for A everything, but D is lighter, so if you are wanting to maximize one thing, like Jump Range, weight saving helps.

Currently I'm in a Cobra, saving for a better discovery scanner. I've upgraded Cargo to biggest (34 T) whilst still fitting Discovery and Surface scanner, got rating D Power Plant, Thrusters, FSD, Life Support, Power Distributor, Sensors, Shield Generator. Compared to having E rating devices, the D are a bit more efficient, whilst saving 33 T in weight, giving over 12ly range laden, and over 14ly empty. The future may well hold getting a smaller Fuel Tank and Fuel Scoop to save weight, but at present it doesn't seem possible to be that far from a station that the scoop is needed. It certainly will include a better FSD (does anything other than FSD rating/class and weight affect jump range) and the better Scanners.

I see a season of "Pimp my Ship" coming....

What we need in the big stations is a custom shop where 9 Thargoids ''pimp your ride'' and custom modules are made to your specification for obscene credit prices.....just so the super rich can get diamond encrusted Anaconda's and Platinum plated Cobra's.......hell yea I want to decorate my ship with the entrails of my kills....l.o.l.
