This is exactly what I was pondering yesterday. I'm nearly Elite in combat....as soon as I hit that, I'm gonna gonna take a road trip or two.
However, if a large part of exploring is...actually exploring/making money, rather than just getting to destination X in as few jumps as possible, why the fevered insistence on the greatest jump distance for exploring? Shouldn't comfort, view, cost effectiveness, etc... be at least equally important?
That is awesome! I haven't played to much with recording, I haven't figured out how to record more then 30 secs yet lol
Jump range is usefulr for brown dwarf fields and crossing between arms. If you are going coreward anything around 20 Lys will do fine. If you plan on going out to the edge, you are going to need the 30+. For exploration i shoot for 30 personally. 1) in case i need to come home in a hurry. 2) defibately nice to have when you need it. As the saying goes: better to have and not need; then to need and not have.
Instead of using the 'quick' video capture. Snap your DVR, and "start recording".

I've been at work all week. I've posted a few in the xbox explorers thread, I thought it better to keep them all in one place. You haven't posted any screen shots of the whale recently. What happened? Didn't scratch her did you?![]()

The Orca is a nice looking ship! Bet it handles like a drunk walrus though!!
I had some extra cash lyin' around, so I built an "Explorca." I quite like it. Very comfy. She ticks all the boxes that are really needed for exploring. Unless of course your idea of exploring is getting to your destination as quickly as possible w/o ever exploring the in between.
Agreed !Definitely not my choice for the "Sag A Speed Run", but great for actual exploring.![]()
