Well I think it keeps your ship cooler but I'm not absolutely certain what the power percentages mean in the modules tab. Power Distributer is 4% for what it's worth.jedirogue said:

If you mess up a fuel scoop manouvre then you may drop out of SC. Then you'll need it.
So say I have all pips in engines when I drop out, should I adjust them to systems to escape or vice versa?

It's a good idea to have this turned off if you're not changing your power distribution frequently. It still keeps whatever distribution you had before you turn it off, and each bank still recharges at the same rate, just without the x% power drain which helps save on heat if you want to run as cooly as possible.
