A tipped-off military settlement is just about as hard as settlement fighting gets. A hostile Mil settlement that requires a covert attack is approaching impossible, but just doable sometimes. If they are hostile I prefer to land a couple KM outside the settlement flying as low as I can to keep the settlement behind terrain. Land far enough out the guards don't raise the alarm just seeing the ship (2-3 KM). The CAP will attack but the ship can hold long enough to dismiss and depart. I then continue in the SRV and the CAP will attack that as well as long as you are inside it. Again, here I try to find terrain that lets me get as close as possible without being seen by the settlement. Once I am as close as I can get I head in with my infiltration suit and e-breaches. G5 Mav with extra battery capacity and reduced bat consumption. Means I can stay outside a LONG LONG time.
Then I used my silenced Executioner to start whittling the gaurds down around the command center. Once I get in there it's all over but the crying. Getting in and not getting spotted while hostile though is not easy. Just gotta be patient and very careful about exposing yourself. I shut down the alarms and then it's 100% game-on. With no Goliath to help them I'll knock them all out. Loot, extract power core, and evac under CAP fire again. Scorpion is helpful here since it can take a lot more pounding.
