I don't see how putting a bounty on anyones head is shaming as long as you don't give a reason. you could want them dead for any number of non shameful deeds. Unless your just not allowed to name people on the forums. If i said i want to buy the destruction of bAdbud ship for 1mil. I don't see any shame in that but we can always wait to see if this gets edited by a mod lol.

You are allowed to name people on the forum, you are not allowed to "name and shame". The ban isnt on "naming" as one activity, and "shaming" as another, its the act of "naming and shaming".

Ive seen a few posts from mods who say naming (in the right context, such as describing a courteous player who helped you) can be allowed. "Naming and shaming" is the act of "naming" someone then "shaming" them, which is banned.

isn't that just a forum rule or is there something in the game EULA that would prevent it, not even sure I would be in favour of it.

I recall reading a similar thread way back which suggested that even an external website listing naughty commanders falls under forum and game rules. If in doubt, then I suppose read the new forum rules and EULA.

I suppose it doesn't hurt to name a benevolent commander and thank them for whatever kind act, or encounter you had with them.

I was going to set it up as a player bounty site rather than a griefer shame list.

I don't see why it would need an external website. Why not just have a bounty forum?

"200k bounty on CMDR xxxxxx on proof of his demise - he shot me, go shoot him" sort of thing.

This isn't "naming and shaming", since there's no suggestion of any wrong doing.
