Ya, that's the point, add a fire button, and Hotas has an advantage.
Game consoles come with a controller. Hotas is extra.
And I've bought a PC that doesn't come with a keyboard or mouse, so is me buying one giving me the advantage? Is buying an Xbox Elite controller or Vantage PS4 controller an advantage with their extra control buttons and functions over other console players? To use your argument, they shouldn't be allowed to use these because they have extra buttons. The Vantage controller says it's PS4 approved, how did that happen? I thought all consoles were the same? What is this, pay to win?
You're not hobbled, you're specifically asking for an advantage over others - you're demanding they be hobbled just to make you happy.
That's just plain ridiculousness, it's only an advantage if I PvP
and use 3 fire buttons
and properly outfit my ship
and know how to fight
and make good choices when I engineer my ship. So no, I'm not asking for an advantage.
I run an Orbweaver and other use macros with their keyboards, should we be banned or prevented from using these? I can tell you this, many PvP players use an Orbweaver and similar to run macro's to gain an advantage on other players, just ask Rinzler070707. As far as that goes, I know many PvP players who claim using a mouse is superior to a HOTAS... Should we now ban mice?!!!
Your argument is meaningless because being on a PC and having options is, has been and will always be about customization and doing my way... You know, choices mean both good and bad. You make them, you live with them, it's not up to me to live with your bad choices or limitations. Elite doesn't have a color blind mode, how is that fair if you're red-green color blind?
If you want gameplay and options limited then go buy a console and stop making ridicules claims about supposed superiority because of one button or next thing you'll want to do is remove all engineering for PvP because it would be unfair or maybe banning someone because they pirate a poor sidey with their over-engineered battle boat.
It's ridicules as banning the guy who shows up at bike race with an $11,000 dollar carbon fiber bike or the guy who shows up at the local bowling ally with a custom fitted ball, or the guy who shows up at a pool hall with a customer cue, or the guy who wears a pair of very expense basket ball sneakers at a pickup game at the local school grounds, ect…
