F-dev. The community needs some good news.

F-Dev said they would keep a community manager on the forums daily didn't they?

I am a step removed from the community as a whole. I don't have a dog in peoples rage about the game, I can simply not buy it until I feel its worth the 40 bucks and am content to continue to do what ever the heck I want in horizons.

And maybe its smart to keep F-devs heads down for today, but isn't there anything positive to be announced in the near future? Its been nothing but bad news the last few weeks. If there is any interest in keeping the people who love your game the most in the game. maybe throw them a fricken bone? The honestly is good. But anything positive would be beneficial to the community. Something to look forward to after the console release? A vague promise of "moar content" isnt really going to do the trick. And neither will a game that works like its supposed to. that is what was bought. not something to look forward to.

(btw people stop pre-ordering games its bad consumer practice.)

((Also if you dont enjoy farming Engineering materials, don't do it. they cant make you grind. Engineering is optional ))

They can't release any new ships till the community merges.. no reveals till late Autumn is my guess, but prove me wrong here Frontier, give us all something positive coz there's just too much to be negative about right now.

I think maybe they're hoping that constant updates about bug fixes and no longer beating around the bush about what we actually are and aren't getting is gonna make us happy.

Unfortunately, they've dug themselves a hole deep enough that now the honesty and communication about broken parts of the game is having the opposite effect; we're all doubtful and frustrated about everything.

So... I dunno. I'm just trying to find little things to enjoy in the game. Like going on a small mining field trip into the black to make some money and catch up on podcasts I like.

Lower your expectations and you won't be disappointed, I guess.

At this point I have no expectations and I am foolish for having any to begin with.
After another $40 hole in my wallet, not to mention the betas I have paid for and the ARX I have bought in the past I am tired of "finding little things to enjoy" in this game and lowering my expectations. No more excuses or free passes for Frontier. And no more money, either. I'm done helping prop up Frontier's shareholders only to have the company dump out these minimum viable products.

I think this is where ED is strongest anyway. I spent two weeks in the black watching Star treck TNG.

Then last week, i waged war on the order of mobius and streamed parts of it. finding the small things and enjoying them is what ED is about i think.

Then after that I bought a keelback and loaded it with dumbfire missles. on the off chance i decide to buy odyssey i can do "bombing runs"

And now maybe i was thinking about buying a DBX and turning it into a smuggler to do some smuggler runs.

not to add any possitivity to the forums, but ive been having fun. not in oddyssey, by making my own goals and seeing what i can do with them.

For people that play more regularly than me, thats probably all really trite. which is fine. But still.

Maybe they also expected their promise of more "story content" would keep people interested until they can get back to developing more new assets. butsince the storyhas been stagnate since 2018, it feels hollow too.

Nah it's all good.. you can tell from your tone you're not trying to wind anyone up.. i might do what u suggest actually an just go mining because.. fml this is depressing
