F1® Manager 2022 announcement & trailer

Just started playing, but why on earth this game wants to launch SteamVR also?? It has no VR so why on earth it starts also..

Jumped into Williams, sacked Latifi and put Aitken to 2nd car. :D
Something Williams should have done eons ago.

needs forum dedicated.

anyway... things you MUST ADD ISTANTLY... that i don't understand FDev didn't thought.

  • savegame during the race... cmon, d you think we have hours free to follow a race ?
  • isometric view: ok, front rear cockpit are interesting... but who use it for all the race? the isometric is the way. motorsport manager doesn't teach nothing?
  • possibly to remove all the cutscenes or live background. consume too much graphics and are not useful for someone.
  • customizable UI during the race: it's too much large and is not possible see the map visual clearly.

Well I'm getting horrific stuttering during any 3D graphics, feels like a Denuvo issue cos I didn't see any of this in any YT vid. And the textures take an age to load in, much popup. I'd like to think it isn't my system. No other game I play has this issue (well except Star Citizen, but that's a Feature®)

Anyone else?

Runs fine on my laptop and desktop, in 1080p high and 4k ultra respectively. Unfortunately, the simulation itself is pretty much nonsense. For a management game it looks great, but all important aspects (tire deg, type/wear impact, fuel usage, ERS, DRS, weather simulation, incident calculation) are wildly off. Like comically, mind boggingly, off. Right now I would strongly discourage any F1 fan from playing it.

Its truly baffling how they had so much highly precise data to base their models on and get it this wrong.

Its quite astonishing that Fdev doesnt have any direct channel for communicating with playerbase. No official forums, no Discord, no nothing but this sub-forum which im guessing the devs arent even following and receiving feedback.
Steam forums are a joke.

EDIT: sorry forgot, Fdev doesnt communicate directly to the playerbase nor listen to feedback, until the famous brown stuff hits the fan, thats when they communicate as we have seen many times with Elite.

there are discors and reddit.
but same ED i thought this is the better place with a dedicated forum.
check it out

the game is promising but the actual races are seriously messed up , the constant swapping back and forth between two cars with drs and once you get past you pretty much never actually manage to pull away , Also if you are third or fourth you never even try to pass a car in front , or you get alongside and your driver always chickens out and lets the other car go ahead , i also had cars exiting the pit lane and mine stopped dead on line to allow them to go in front

Im thinking that this wont have own section because of license. Fdev would have done it already if it would come.
I don't know of any games company that doesn't have its own dedicated forums somewhere for feedback and bug reporting and never seen it where the licensees wouldn't allow it , after all they want the game to be the best it can be . Codemasters have an official F1 license and also their own forums to do this
