Good info. The tricky part comes when you're trying to brake more than one thruster at once, which is often the case is typical use of FAOFF and why many CMDRs FAON for easy braking. A straight line test proves the theory though, so that's good to know.

Yup, the ONLY advantage I can find for FA-on is that it is easier to control (to some people, I can't stand it now) and once you get a certain level of control FA-off you'll be able to brake faster in any direction... not even getting into the ability to utilise the scoop to further enhance the agility of your ship
