Fall DLC 2023 Speculation

Well we can cry now

I mean, I'm not sure how game cons work but... Usually when something is a "premiere" that means the general public wouldn't be aware that it exists, right?

Frontier might be announcing something other than this. But it's also possible that this is it and they're not one of the world premieres. Though if they had something new/special to announce there wouldn't they at least be teasing that via social media (even if they're just doing it vaguely)?

Mammals actually rafted from Africa to South America numerous times - both New World monkeys and caviomorph rodents reached SA this way, and there's even been recent fossils that suggest primates actually arrived on the continent twice, the second family going extinct before the present day. The ocean currents from Africa to South America are fairly great for rafting, and the two continents were slightly closer to one another than they are today back then.

Of course, this doesn't lesson the need for SA primates in any way!
Maybe frontier thinks that because SA primates came from Africa, then African primates fill all our needs for them lol.

While we’re on the topic of new games, we know a new Planet game is coming in 2024, is it supposed to come in Q4?
Nothing confirmed just yet. But it's worth noting that PlanCo and PZ were released in November. Planet Zoo was announced ~6 months ahead while PlanCo was announced in January 2015 (albeit under a different name) nearly ~2 years ahead of its actual release.

That financial report in September is probably going to reveal a thing or two, however vaguely it might be ("new game with Frontier IP coming in Q4"). We'll also get some sort of hint about what the future of Planet Zoo is at that point, I would imagine. And I just simply don't see them cutting DLC out of their plan until they have a new game announced that's a surefire hit (and TBH, I could see them continuing beyond that; PZ is a very different situation compared to PlanCo, IMHO, as far as DLC possibilities go).

My guess would be that this new Planet game comes in Q4 of next year. For Planet Zoo we would get 4 more DLCs until summer of next year. I doubt they would continue DLC for PZ and also have the new game whether it be PC2 or whatever. I obviously would hope we get way more DLCs past next summer for PZ but that’s me being realistic.

That seems like wishful thinking to me. PlanCo DLC possibilities amounted to new rides that were more or less variations on old rides, or other minor attractions. PZ DLC possibilities amount to new animals that are more or less variations on old animals, or, again, other minor attractions. In essence the 'possibility' is the same.

If a new Planet title is indeed coming in 2024 then it's not likely Frontier will continue full support for PZ beyond that point. It's not impossible, obviously, but it's not likely. That doesn't leave us with an enormous amount of options as far as new content is concerned; certainly nothing spectacularly new that would require ongoing support (such as dynamic aquatic habitats or fully fleshed-out aviaries, which, for some reason, many players are still convinced are on the horizon).

The whole wishful thinking about birds brings back to planet coasters ideas that water rides were definitely coming. I feel it may be what happens a second time around.

I never played planet coaster and theme parks really arent my thing, so a potential Planet coaster 2 doesnt really interests me at all.
If it really is a Planet Aquarium i can see myself checking it out, but i doubt i would chose it over PZ ( unless they make it compatible in some way)
If they would release a game like Planet Aquarium or Planet Aviary and it somehow would not be compatible with PZ I would be very dissapointed. I would probably buy it but it would be super weird.
