Fall DLC 2023 Speculation

Sigh...the Wolverine debate...(this is not directed at any person, I've noticed it over the last year from quite a few posts)

Suggesting for a Mountain pack - reaction - Wolverines are not Mountain animals!!!!!!
Suggesting for a Tundra pack - reaction - They really are more woodlands animals!!!
Suggesting for a Woodlands/Temperate pack - reaction - Wolverines are not temperate animals at all, they should go in the Taiga pack!!!!)
Suggesting for a Taiga pack - reaction - Taiga is representing the mountains in the game and Wolverines are not mountain animals!!

Hot take - Some people do not really care for the wolverine and don't want them in the game, which is totally fine, but saying they don't fit in a particular biome cannot be true when they "don't fit" any of the biomes.

Frontier lets end the hot take on the Wolverines in about six months, yes please?

It is a carnivore in top 10. It will show up, no matter if they find a fitting theme or not.

It's quite obvious that wolverines are aquatic animals, then

Exactly. Probably temperate less than Tundra or Tagia, but they do appear in some temperate areas. It's not as animals in a certain biome have to show up in the entirety of that biome. I mean, I'm in the temperate United States but I have yet to see a wild Moose roaming around.
People tend to get very specific with the animals matching themes in their speculations, even though Frontier themselves got a more if it fits it sits kind of approach

Which is actually the best. We can create dynamic environments when the animals have multiple tags, allowing for a range of plants to use and habitat designs
Exactly, I'm all for wanting to make it realistic, but if an animal shows up in a biome in part....it's technically correct and could be part of that pack.
People that don't want the Wolverine in a pack are African Leopard wishers, the worst kinda wishers there are :p
Everyone's welcome to like and not like what they want. No one's wants are better or worth more than someone else's. My point with the Wolverine was the illogical set up with why they shouldn't be included in certain biomes. I mean, every animal that gets included has to fit at least one biome.....and it's not like we're trying to fit the Wolverine in a desert (which would probably be the Honey Badger anyways lol), where their range covers no desert at all.

I know im among the people saying it the nost often but really imo i dont like the if it fits it sits approach, atleast for speculation.
I personally like a strong theme and animals that go along, in a mountain pack i dont want animals that live in the valleys aswell so technically are mountain animals but animals that either exclusivly live there or are straight up inhabitats of cliffs and mountain meadows.
In a woodlands pack yes the wolverine fits there, but in the thread i made for it it gradually shifted for temperate woodland specifically, in parts because most people simply dont give it credit where again id like animals that actually have a majority if not all of their range there.
Its pretty much like the island thing of many people being against mainland species that also spread onto isles vs actual island endemics.
Besides me not finding the wolverine particulary desireable, thats my main reason to not be a fan of it being pushed in every single biome pack as its allmost allways an edge case that really atleast imo shouldnt be there.
Imo the wolverine fits best for a scenery pack, something like an explorers pack with the dromedary for deserts, a spider monkey for tropical rainforest, the himalayan thar for you guess where and the wolverine for the arctic.
Such a pack actually suits the animal and makes it fit because it actually does and not because a circle fits into squares good enough.

SanRazo: “You were my brother Konig, you where supposed to lead the #GuloGuloGourmet not shut it down on every thread”

Konig: “I HATED IT ALL ALONG!”

SanRazo: “You created the tag Konig, I looked up to you”

Konig: starts getting attacked by mountainside wolverines as he hangs on the cliffside when theyre announced in an alpine pack.

Just cause im good at making things sound good doesnt mean i buy into it myself.
Dont get me wrong the wolverine is a totally fine animal and im a okay with getting it but i want it in a pack where it actually belongs.
Popular animals like it can take their time and appear later without a problem.
Animals like the arctic fox, gibbons, capybara, racoon, red fox and a few others might not have made it in their first or even second fitting theme, but still made it in by one that either fit them even better or by being literally created for them.
But other animals dont have that luxury.
If we dont get the alpine marmot, which would be a great pick for the game, not in an mountain pack, thats it.
Thats pretty much its fate sealed.
Meanwhile if the wolverine goes on the bench another time it can still at any time just get a random scenery pack dedicated to it and everybody wins

Yea to clarify I definitely think/ hope it’s getting in eventually

I like the Wolverine very much, but two other aggressive animals (Tassie and Ratel) have priority over wolvy for me.

Until it comes to the point it's the game's final pack and it still hasn't made it in. Which...is possible. I don't like it, but as I've said elsewhere, everyone has animals they really want to make it in that won't. I just hope it's not the Wolverine. (here Frontier, I'll give up the Tree Kangaroo to get Sir GuloGulo). But if it turns out it is and we don't get the Wolverine in, life will go on. No animal is a "must have" for me now. I mean, the Wolverine is pretty close to that but I would still consider Planet Zoo's mammal roster complete without it (new world monkeys aside). I haven't as yet as we know there will be more content coming, so I still have hope. But when that time comes and the game no longer gets official content, I will be happy with as much as we've gotten but even more happy if we get birds Birds BIRDS

Konig has joined me, Lord Quell, to the Shadow Side of the Zookeeper Force and put the raccoon ahead of the wolverine...

Konig: "What about the trash panda rebellion? Was it successful?"

Quell: "It appears that in your mission, you were... Successful"

Konig: "Really? I can't believe it was possible... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS"

While we're talking biomes...I'm so confused about the Spectacled Bear's range. It's in the Andes, and can border into the Amazon as well. So..is it Tagia, Tropical, Temperate? Tagia and Temperate? Temperate and Tropical? Tropical and Taiga?

Gasp! Frontier could end this confusion for me if they add them in the game. I need assistance!
