Fall DLC 2023 Speculation

It's exactly why I stopped making wishlists and stuff related to animals, it's no fun anymore with everyone forgetting what the entire purpose of the thread is and changed it to a place to argue their opinions are far superior than everyone else's.
Yup, it's like if someone puts a wishlist out, there's invariably some kind of comment about "you missed (fill in animal)" or that the wishlist is incorrect and full of things not needed. Discussion is great but degrading someone's want and opinions is not great at all. If I didn't put an animal in my wishlist, it's not that I forgot about it or missed it (usually). It's because I don't really want it. Which doesn't equate to thinking someone else wants (fill in animal) is wrong for wanting it.

I'll say it only 1 time. I hate to say things like this, but the situation needs it.

If you say that you want or don't want an animal, there is nothing wrong as long as you say it with respect. If you think that someone's idea is not correct or don't fit with your thinking, post with respect, don't argue with 10 pages long of why your idea or thinking is better, that thing only happens on twitter. When you loose respect, you loose any kind of speech. This is a forum of a game, where is obvious that everyone posts their ideas of what comes next, because this forum is for that, share ideas and dreams. When we loose that, we loose the point of the thread. Seeing how some people is angry because someone said that "This animal don't fit in the game for me", it angers me like nothing in the world can do.

Wow, I mean WOW. I love how almost everyone

Wait... we have a banned member?!
I know exactly who that may be, im surprised to be honest never heard of someone going that far to get banned.
Well, we have 2, maybe 3. But I don't think I should say who they are.
All I can say is that they did try to personally attack me

Honestly we got so much support for this game, especially free content and updates that each time I come back from hibernation, I'm more and more pleased. There's a few things I'm not 100% pleased with, like the absence of aviary birds and a few keystone animals (especially monkeys and ground-dwelling birds), but honestly, I'm just not gonna sweat it. Whatever we get for the rest of the lifecycle, I'll be happy with. The game is in a great state right now and has 95% of everything you could want in a Zoo sim game.

Now THAT'S a based comment .

Thank you very much for your very in-depth analysis of my psychological feelings, Mr. Freud. I am glad to now know that my love for dogs is being irrational. It is not like dogs are with humans for thousands of years, helping with saving lives, catching criminals and helping people sick people via therapy. Sure, completely irrational.
These are domestic dogs. Please, wild dogs are scary and will pack chase and even kill you if you accidentally invade their territory and don't have help of weapon. While we all have affection towards domestic dogs, these really aren't the wild ones in a zoo, also most people generally do not go to zoos to see variations of wild dogs because they like their own domestic dogs although some definitely do.

Anyway, cat lovers are doing exactly the same here, yet they are not shut down like people wanting dogs. And please spare me the "but my cats are way more interesting than dogs!" yeah, to you buddy, not to me. My wish for more dogs is no less valuable than your wish for more cats.
Here we go again, attacking cats again to defend dogs. Firstly, I'm not "pro-cat". Regardless of which is more interesting, my perception is it's really not the case that cat-lovers are posting this obsessively about cats on a regular basis to get backlash.

Also I'm not here to shut anyone down only to express my own POV that I'd prefer if other animals got more priority as a counter to the pro-dog views. Please don't take it personally and since I went too far to make ad hominem attack I apologise.

Do you have some dog related trauma?

Everyone, let’s form a pact to bring the forum back to it’s former glory:

. No one shall be rude, mean, or critical to others viewpoints
. We shall be respectful of others opinions
. Don’t ruin the fun for people
. Apologize if you do accidentally hurt someones feelings or are mean by accident
. Have fun!

Reply with “I” if you agree.

Can we just end the whole cat vs dog with this comment. Please let's move on.

Yes, please. It doesn't resolve anything and it doesn't matter anyway because, in the end, we aren't designing the DLC

Let's try to forget this bad stage of the forums and turn back to the normal forums I used to know.

What are your top 5 species to be included in the next dlc? It counts everything!
1. Any Bird thats something really new (so no rhea, flamingo or penguin etc)
2. Any monkey, preferably SA
3. "Baboon", hamadryas, gelada, olive, i dont care tooo much
4.Tree kangaroo
5. Tasmanian devil

Wild dogs are their ancestors. Any wild predator capable of killing you will most likely do so giving it a chance, but they have passed their best qualities to our domestic dogs. They adapted to form packs with humans, that is why they do not try to murder us, just as a wild dog will not try to murder its own pack member, rather they will work together, as domestic dogs do with us. They are not them, but at the same time they are them in a sense.

I am not going to argue about the dogs vs cats anymore either, I do not want our great community to feel like this place is full of hostility. I am a hot head sometimes, I apologize to anyone that finds my arguing annoying.

No worries, Dee. No offense taken. We all have our ups and downs. I try to be mellow, but y'all have seen my argumentative side emerge from its dark cave. Not proud of it myself, but it is what it is
