Doesn't this thread belong on Reddit not dangerous discussion? Also OP was one sentence and no sources....so obviously we all fell into the trap of making this nonsense relevant :(

I knew it!

Not nightmares, far from it.

We loved pulling you down with a death of a thousand cuts in F2P Vipers and Raptors :D

And I loved being pulled down...some my best memories of that game was with the red aces...the banter was good ^

Still have a few guys I knew there on facebook...still say hello now and then but people move on when games die...this has all happened before and will happen again ^

Once bitten twice shy...thats what happened with Jacques only with added conflict of interests that got forced through regardless. Player driven content and scenarios is easy to achieve...actual emergent gameplay is few and far between, although perhaps emergent means something diferent to me than it does to others. To me, emergent gameplay is when a group of players by their actions affect the gameplay of a much larger group of players by making a physical change to the game itself. Maybe a base is destroyed or taken...or even created fer that matter. Emergent can be positive as well as negative if ye will forgive the suggestive terms...just makes it easier to explain what I think emergent gameplay is. Its not so much provoking players or npc armies and more about making changes to the game which are considered consequences that could potentially affect everyone.

I dunno if that makes sense...or if ye agree...ooh look squirrel after it...
Definitions of words or terms often change based on how they're used. For that reason, the only definition of emergent gameplay I accept these days is - killing weaker unprepared players (who may or may not take the game too seriously) for lulz.

At any rate, the events that lead to HP's departure from SDC sound pretty silly, and I'm sure that the situation will be restored once they've all cooled off and hugged it out.
My take as well. Cooler heads will prevail.

Besides, they're part of the landscape. I don't think they're allowed to break up. Look what happened to Take That after Robbie left. Wasn't the same.
