Community Event / Creation Fan-made ships

Hello everyone,

I'm a fairly rookie modeller and I've been designing ships on the Star Citizen forums. Here's a picture of my main project there:

I've recently bought into the Elite Dangerous beta and am really enjoying it so far.

I just wanted to check if anyone knows whether Frontier will be accepting 3rd-party ship designs to appear in game?

Its a good question which I don't think has been asked - I expect the answer is no but why not try them.

I think it's safe to say all their ship design will be done in-house (Michael Brookes is really the one to comment on this) but there's no reason you couldn't take a look at their current vacancies

Very nice model, but you will have to remember that computers games tend to use low-poly models for the actual games as they render a lot faster than than high-poly objects.

A vast majority of what you see is done with clever texture mapping.

Models like yours however are great for the animated intros and promos
