Fast track tickets/queues

This would be so fun but if they do this I think it would be good to have different classes in the people that come to the park like, wealthier people expect these services from the park and less wealthier people might consider it a bonus and not care about it.

FastPass and Single Rider queues would be fantastic. And we have queue path able to go down to 1m wide (single file), unlike paths which only go down to 4m wide, so you could easily fit 3 queues in the same amount of space as a single path.

Another way to do it which would be interesting would be to simply have a toggle in the ride settings for FastPass, and then it would just split the existing queue area in half with a barrier, but the 1m-wide queue paths would probably make that difficult to implement (if not entirely impossible).

I think I would honestly prefer a single rider line, vs a fast pass lane, only because I'm curious and a bit troubled with how fast passing would work. How would the AI respond to it, what would make them pick to wait in line over fast passing? It seems a bit troublesome on the developers side to come up with a reason the AI would choose to stand in a long line vs just getting a fast pass.

Would it merely be:
"If queue is short, stand in line. If not, get a fast pass?"

I think you'd benefit more from the single rider thing.

No matter how much I hate the fastpast system in real life (because it's a complete and utter idiotic system) I'd love to see something like this for the sake of realism ;)

It would add a deeper level to the park management. I would love to see a system like this in the game! Guests could choose to fork over a little more money to gain access to the fast pass line, and you can choose how much priority you want to give to them in boarding (e.g. 10% off all trains seats are reserved for fastpass or higher). The lower the wait time for your fastpass lines, the more desirable the tickets will be, however, if they become too fast (i.e. walk on, walk off) while other guests are stuck in the stand by lines, it will anger the non-fast pass guests. So it would be a balancing game of keeping the people in the fast pass line happy while not angering the guests who bought a basic ticket. Strategy like that would be great to have!

I feel fast pass would be easy enough. Script code to allow 'X' amount of guests to queue in a specific line using a specific entrance.

After that all you have to do is create the 2nd queue and open it. It can be an automated system where by as the guest walks through the entrance they pay for the Fast Pass system. In the management menu you could adjust the cost of the Fast Pass and also the specific amount of Fast Pass reservation the ride has. It will make visitors act differently as the ones who paid extra will be happy to get on the ride asap and be experience but it could anger other guests that they are not getting on because of it.

You could also implement that as the system relates to the cost, if you set it too low, too many people use Fast Pass and it becomes over crowded so they become annoyed at not actually being any faster, and too expensive and no one is using it. The cost that works to get the right number of people using the system is down to the player to find and it won't be the same every time you play the game as the excitement level and interest level the park has from the design/theme will set how much people are wiling to pay for it.

Anyways that is my initial thoughts.

IMO you should be able to select the price at which the fastpasses are sold at, the higher the less people want to use them, the lower the more people who want to use them. Also, the longer the queue line, the more people who want to use the fastpass system, because if it's a short wait it's not worth paying the money.

Maybe fastpass packages or unlimited use ones for a load of money or something.

I know its going against the grain here but TBH I would prefer fastpass was NOT impletmented.

The reason being we all want these games to be realistic, however there will come a point where the realism of the game is so great that it becomes a chore to make a successfull park and the game will lose its charm and fun, and I just feel a fastpass system will go a step to far toward that. Plus to have a successfull fastpass system in a park you need 10,000 plus guests in for it to be worthwhile, look at real life parks around the world, if you walked into Disneyland (where fastpass is free) on a day where the queue levels were as low as they are in PC, fastpass would be deactivated, and if you walked into six flags or alton towers (where you pay for fastpass) on a day where queue's were that low you just wouldnt buy it.

There are plenty of things I would like to see implemented/improved/perfected before the devs went anywhere near fastpass systems or single rider queues etc.

I know its all personal opinion, but that's my twopence

+1 Good ideia.
I think the easiest way is add a opcional "Fast Entrance", I think this should be disable on start, because your park is small.

But....
We will have two entrance ("fast" and "slow") and one exit.

So, only build a "queue path" for the fast and for the slow.
Clicking in it we need to change the price for fast and for slow, or maybe a automatic set the price of "Fast" based on the queue from the "Slow". =D

Sorry bad english.

I should clarify that it shouldn't be for every ride either. Maybe you can only select 5 rides for instance and this way it doesn't become over bearing and you still get it as a dynamic to manage. If you don't want to use them then that's fine also and the game doesn't force you too, just optional and late game content tbh.

It means people have best of both worlds. I am sure there will be stats on your top performing rides (you might need a "market researcher" to study this in game or similar to unlock your stats or at least more detailed stats) and then you can try and optimise your park with your knowledge if that makes sense.

Dont necessarily need additional queue lines, some parks in UK fast passers enter through the exit.

I do like the idea a lot and would not only offer an additionalway to generate income, it would assist with things like guest boredom and happiness.

Also as the guests are very focussed on groups, should have options for singular and group fast passes.

I would also like to see the "quick queue" or "fast track" added to the game to modernize the content or make it more realistic.

I am all up for this, because it´s not only a cosmetic feature, but really affects management side of the gameplay. I hope they consider adding this as well..

I quite like this idea. Balance grabbing more money off your richer/more willing to spend cash guests vs ❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎ off the guests already in the queue who aren't able to/don't want to pay for the privilege of skipping the queue.

Basically like any Merlin theme park...

Although I don't know how they would actually implement it with ride entrances and queueline paths etc.

I'm with you 100% on this. There are so many more time consuming and dificult things I'd love to see in the game that this falls way down the list. I'd much rather see boardwalk games, themed and unthemed version of rides, vending machines, resturants where people sit and eat with a wait staff, to be able to upload my own music and signs, plazas, parades, etc. before they spend time on a second queu line.

Each to own, fast pass is a massive extra revenue source for parks in the last decade and very popular. It is what I always buy when I go tbh so that is probably why I would like to see it implemented tbh. It adds to it. Although yes having the access as the entrance to the ride would be good so that we don't have to build more queue lines.

It just needs to be coded that when the ride finishes any guest that has a fast pass can walk through the exit with priority over those in the main queue line.

What needs to be careful is the player balancing cost to numbers otherwise the fast pace become pointless and/or no one is able to ride via the normal line.

If your going for realism it's a nice idea, but with any design decision you are trading off one thing for another and I don't see what benefits you get out of this, the volume of guests will still be the same regardless if you had to ques, it would make regular queue even longer if the fast queue block regular guests from entering

yeah i dont agree with this logic at all.....if oyu ever played RCT back in the day, you will remember the "im not going on courasel 1, the line is too long" .....if your queues got too long, people would start leaving the park out of frustration, or, not ride your rides....theres no reason this cant happen here....your assuming that no matter what the same amount of people will be in the park and ride the ride....if thats actually the case, its bad simulation, and the system is flawed to begin with....theme parks in real life didnt start doing this "for the heck of it" there was a reason, and people frustrated over long waits and not visiting is that reason, and they came up with a solution that was a win/win, they decreased waits and made money doing it.....this is the depth i would like in planet coasters simulation.
