TOS will never be equalled.

Genuinely interested to know if you've watch any of the ST Continues? For those that haven't, the link is up ^^ there somewhere. However in the meantime here is a side by side comparison from a scene near the end of 'Mirror Mirror'.

Deep space 9 due to how it delved into the politics of already standing groups in the universe, instead of interaction wile encountering new groups. I mean its no Babylon 5 (show had the right mix of politics, action and intrigue in a space station setting) but it was distinctly different then any other Star trek, before it or since. That fact alone made it my fave star trek.

TOS will never be equalled. Even the crappy third season plots sans Rodenberry, who'd had enough of the studio. TNG was so bad it made the 1970s *animated* Star Trek episodes look like masterpieces. A KLINGON on the bridge? Spare me. DS9 and whatever else they churned out just sucked wet shark IMHO. And while I have nothing against large-breasted "aliens" it's an old, lousy sci fi trick. Large, firm, unusually well-shaped alien ... still no deal.http://www.etonline.com/media/photo/2013/08/24033126/640_William_Shatner_Star_Tr.jpg

True that. :) I love it too but to be honest it's just painful to look at it by todays standards.
The effects story and dialogs sometimes make me smile.

I like them all (ALL OF THEM) my fave series was Voyager, i grew up on it watching taped videos. the reason i quote this fine fellow is to correct him, there is no Jadzia Dax 2, the Dax that came after Jadzia was Ezri. There, my Federation duty is done lol.

Yes but it has been a while since I have seen the show and I know I am not the first to refer to her as that. So while she may be Ezri she replaced Jadzia therefor she is Jadzia 2. :D

No, no, no, you must take that back, you and your Jadzia 2 cohorts have offended me deeply.....just kidding lol.

'Star Trek: The Next Generation ' is leading!

That is the series where everything was conference tabled to death wasn't it?

Star Trek, for me, is one of those things where each new installment has been worse than the one before it (like films set in Middle-earth). So that's a vote for the original series.

I like them all but DS9 would be my favourite.

I thought Enterprise was very underrated and the underlying story arc as the series progresses was very good.

DS9... better plot, has some kind of story to follow and darker than all the others

It only got better when the dominion plot line really kicked in, before that it bored me a bit. Everything and everyone more or less in the same place. If it had started with the dominion storyline then it would be up there with TNG and Voyager for me.

Indeed but I still like it more than the others :)

In order from best to worst (IMO)...

TNG, TOS, DS9, Voy, Ent

it's a lot like "Star Trek: The Next Generation". In many ways it's superior but will never be as recognized as the original.
I just think TNG improved on the format of the original series, and the original series is an all-time classic.
DS9 started as "meh" but quickly went to "whoa!" with the Dominion War.
Voy seemed to lose a lot of the Star Trek zeitgeist.
Enterprise. From the first note of the title music, it lost me forever.

All pale into insignificance compared to Babylon 5. :)
