I hadn't created an FC thread and I felt like I was letting the team down, so...

After much beer careful consideration, I have come up with a non-owners use for FCs, to whit:

I shall henceforth transfer an Asp Scout to all Fleet Holders with which I dock.
Nobody will know, it will have no impact, and therefore nobody will care.

But I'LL know they're out there, lurking, biding their time, awaiting the perfect moment to strike - and strike they will, you'll see, you'll all see, and then you'll be sorry!

Wait, my Asp Scout would have a relative parked on the very same Carrier ?? Impossible! The Carrier would become a mobile Anomaly :D

Yeah, you can only do that if they have a shipyard. Though I've read that to store more than 10 ships you need a shipyard, which is 🤦‍♂️

A guest can't store any ship without the shipyard service. The owner can store more than 10 ships with the basic shipyard. I definitely have more than 10 on board right now.
Yep same here. 15 ships but no shipyard installed.

I do wonder though whether my alt Cmdr can still catch a ride though. My understanding is that should be possible as their ship is parked, not stored.

A FC owner can store up to 40 ships even without a shipyard. If the FC has a shipyard, other commanders, collectively, can store an unlimited number (AFAIK) of ships on the FC.

In an open or group instance, I believe there is a limit of 16 ships which can be docked. All pads full in other words.

In other works, it works just like a station.

Potential Denial of Service PvE attack in the BGS. Just park 40 Asp Scouts at the supporting FC????
Does this stop the 16 ships from landing hence no support for the Conflict Zone or whatever.

Since Fc's are like bases. It works like one. If 1000 people are in Solo and they all go to one carrier, they will all get a spot to land on and can logout of the game. In open in the same instance you could fill all the pads, but everyone in the same instance is doubtful.

But back to the important topic: Great use of the ASP Scout!
