Watched the stream last night and..

I just traded in my PS4 slim + 3 games and upgraded to a Pro. Cost me £105 cash, which is a LOT to me, so I broke for the next 6 wks now.

I'm tempted, too. But I will hold off for now. I had no issues with the way ED performed on XB1 and if PS4 is the same, I'll be more than satisfied. However, come tax season I just may take the plunge with my return money.

What's worse, for me, is I just found that Argos has the PS4Pro for 350 euro, which is 50 euro cheaper than the 400 everyone else wants . . .

I'm rocking a 1st gen standard PS4 from launch (it gets quite noisy when pushing it graphically so I'm not sure how much life is left in it). I have been considering an upgrade to a Pro but the cash difference is pretty big with my old lump. However I think this may be the game that forces me over the edge if my current one begins to struggle (I've been waiting 2 years to play this thing I'm not letting old hardware stop me now!!!) :)

It's now or never. A great chance to get a Pro now. Make sure you don't regret being too late.

Is there real any point if one doesn't have a worthwhile telly? I imagine a decent telly would cost twice what the pro does.

I agree, in researching the ps pro, it's stated almost every where that if one has a 1080 or older tv, don't bother unless one plans to update their tv to a 4. Viewing one on a 1080 isn't much better than a normal ps4, and the general public or infrequent gamer, can't really tell the difference. But, buying one now, and a newer tv later, works too. Providing one doesn't wait too long, and the ps5 becomes reality. In which case, one will have to have a new tv. Hey, it's only money and you can't take it with you. So unless your gonna give it to your errors, spend it now.

Personally I think it will be worth it for the improved frame rate, especially on planets!
and no.. I dont plan on getting a 4k tv, a: too expensive and b: I don't have the space.
