I guess this confirms nobody reads the mission description before hitting the accept button. It tells you to check the nav beacon or use a scanner. Seriously, read them before taking the mission, it will save you hours of frustration and forum complaining

apparently the thing i ranted about got fixed to some extend. i still blame the game for not making it more clear how the missions work. you shouldn't have to come to a forum and ask for this stuff.

Bit worried you need to come to a forum to be told to read the mission description

I love scanning the nav beacon, it is how I found my paternal grandmother.

to be clear. in these particular missions, there was no mention about the nav beacon. it only said: go to system x, find the stuff in unidentified signal sources.
