Yes, you do. Because you want it changed, and that means convincing someone to change it. If you are rude, aggressive or over react (it is after all "just a game") people will discount anything you say because they think you're a prat. And no one wants to be seen to agree with a prat, even if he his in the right!
I've said it before, if you want to affect change, either be reasonable or step away from the keyboard. Vindication alone will not achieve your goals.

Since for many people, end result doesn't matter much, I guess that's a good thing for them, yes. As there are other good things for other people. So I see nothing wrong overall.

There are some very good points from the OP. I will wait for the DEVs to fix things and come back soon. Gambling brings out the worst in people. But that said I think they have done a wonderful job on 2.1. We just need some time for them to tweak everything and get it how they want.
