Fdev thanks for the stellar work on v3!

Honestly I didn't know what to expect. But what I got was a polished, tweaked and well oiled game!

On my gtx1060 i7/16gb machine:

- The game runs much faster and without any crashing overall
- Planet texture loading, hyperspace and HS exiting are super smooth now
- Planet textures are exciting to look at, fly around and drive the SRV. Like playing a brand new game! One of the most important changes for me so far.
- Engineers are super fun now and logical
- So many quality of life changes - blueprint pinned limited workshop, material trader, map services/community/society/etc. searching, to name a few - makes the entire experience less tedious and more fun.
- Finally crime & punishment for griefers to think twice.
- Voiced galnet
- Many annoying QoL bugs fixed, including engineer greeting voice, black rectangles around planets (still not 100% fixed but greatly reduced, compared to 2.4)
- Missions with 3 type of rewards, depending what you need the most - THANK you

So many things I still haven't tried like wings and wing missions, but so far it's like I've been playing a new and revitalized game. Thank you frontier!

I agree, this release has brought some nice improvements. I particularly like the improved planets, even the 'dull' ones now look much better, somehow more appealing.

I also like the increase in the diversity of passenger missions. I've had to fill my Anaconda with first class cabins to accommodate.

Roll on quarters two, three and four. Especially four. I'm feeling very optimistic for the future.

I, as well, do agree with the OP, for the most part!

Despite some bugs (throttle resetting to 100% after every jump and material caps resetting to 100 every so often, being the most grating ones for me) I have to say 3.0 is so far probably one of the best updates for Elite. I've been enjoying gathering like a maniac and, thanks to the new mat limits, engineering just for the fun of it! There's plenty more to do, but, as always, I'm in no rush to get it all in one go... :)

So, yes, thank you Frontier, and keep it up (and fix those damn bugs, but soon!). :D

Yup totally agree with the OP, ive enjoyed using the mat traders to tweak my ships, the pinned blueprint option is excellent and the new options in the galaxy map for trading are working good too. All in all it’s been a great first step and as I said in a previous post I can’t wait for what’s to come in the rest of beyond.

Despite a few bugs which I have full confidence will get fixed soon, I completely agree with the OP, especially with the improvements to planetary surfaces, in game trade tools and engineering.

Yea, can only too agree with OP, FD did massive great work with ED 3.0! Thanks! (I see graphic improvements too on my old GTX 960, it keeps walk also in moments when 2.4 was using degraded graphics.)

Agree with OP, very nice update! I love the new trading toolset, FINALLY it is possible to plan ahead your trade routes and make profit in a FUN way with in game tools!

Each major update has introduced a feature that makes the galaxy feel more real. We had the original Horizons, which allowed us to access planets. Later came a minor tweak to traffic control that introduced voice, which had a terrific impact on immersion. Now we have the planets restored to their former glory and more ! These are so good, I can't stop taking photos.

Despite a couple bugs here and there I completely agree with the OP.
I'm on Xbox One X and the planets look absolutely brilliant, lots of new things to do and in contrary to what I expected the engineers are a joy to use. Material Broker is working great although six for one is a bit steep imho.

I just love the new missions payouts where you can choose your reward.

I stil need to visit the new Guardian sites but I'm waiting for a crash fix at certain sites, looking forward to that though.

Well done Frontier!!

Well said OP!

I am having a blast, and so far I have pretty much only touched Wing cargo missions.

So much that I still have not touched yet...

Well done FD! :)

Happy enough here for now and enjoying myself. Nice to have a thread like this instead of listening to the professional debaters looking for something to pontificate over.
