I have two drives in storage, both G5 DD. One is 5A and the other 5B. On the FDL the 5B gets 510m/s boost and better thruster performance on turns. It also runs cooler than the 5A. The 5A only gets about 440m/s boost even though it's G5 rated (I am sure it is, even though my pinned blueprint disappeared yesterday as soon as I pinned a BP from The Dweller for PD).
Question:
Is it possible my 5B drive is grandfathered from the old days and has a good roll vs the 5A drive? I couldn't believe I dropped so much in performance swapping to a higher grade drive that's also DD G5. I am not sure what special effect it has.
I can post the specs unless someone can say that it's not uncommon for rolled G5 DDs to have that much better performance than contemporary G5 drives of a higher grade.
