for RES work, i always thought you upgraded TO a Vulture, not FROM it.

Things seem to melt away pretty quickly in one. Even though I could kill anything pretty much in a Viper I do it in a Vulture with out having to worry about getting myself out of the way of the enemies guns.

Out of interest if you go to a RES in one of those bigger ships are you more likely to see biggest ships with bigger bounty???

Make's no differance - your still stuck with the same random spawns even in a Anaconda. Though blowing up Sidey flying in a straight line with a 2 Plasma Accelerator blast is kind of funny.

I would imagine that would be some fun!!!

So to answer the OP, anything higher than a Vulture is a waste of time in a RES...

I want to upgrade from a vulture to an FDL or Python. I mainly just want to bounty hunt in a RES to earn credits. No PvP at this time. Strong shields and quick take down power is what I would like. Suggestions please. Thanks

Neither. Fly a Vulture instead because you will end up boosting into a rock at some stage and the insurance cost is a lot less on a Vulture than a Python or FDL.

I just bought my Python and am having a blast in RES sites. I kept my Vulture though.

The Pythons shields are stronger, but not by a whole lot. Armour can be much higher over the Vulture, but its heavy and not a whole lot of use in a RES.

I'm using two C3 gimballed beams and 3 C2 turreted beams. High power need, but it melts things pretty quick.
Unfortunately the turrets like getting me fined though. Having 7-8 police ships all hammering you is not fun.

The python is very regal and refined compared to the Vulture - a much different flying experience. I love it.

I've found that Vulture with beefed-up shields and hull packages is better in a RES than a Python. Python is better in a CZ against multiple targets though.
