Your Feature Request / Idea
so this is the problems ,first ,
-medium carnivore will not be affraid with large carnivore it doenst make any sense ,
the second is
-small carnivore always initiate fight with bigger carnivore but always panicking after ,a bit make sense but they should just panicking .
The third is
-medium carnivore should have less advantage in fighting since they are smaller with less jaw force etc so we need separating the system (that show damage, defence, resilince) into 3 part for the small one , medium one and the big one .
The fourth is
-medium carnivore like to attack strong herbivore when there is a food around , the chance of its happen is too much random so it will definitely kill the carnivore itself.
The Fear system Could be made like
-smaller carnivore will always be affraid of big carnivore .
-large carnivore will have to fight for territory the losser will panicking and start to stay away he can comeback if he doesnt see the winner , the territory system like they will no more defenceless in territorrial , will attack other carni or hunt other herbi in range , and will roar sometimes .
-smaller carnivore will attack smaller herbivore or scavenging and eating dead carcass rather than fight with a defensive herbivore (they will no more attacking stronger herbivore , except in the last moment of hunger ) they will not take a big risk to hunt strogger one if there is carcass and weaker one.
-if they have enough pack they will have more confidence for hunting stronger herbivore , especially together , but it will need a lot of hard work to do the animation.
Overhauling the mechanics
-nah, the complex things for this system is rework the animation when the dinosaurs moving around so if the carnivore try to eat herbivore they need to chased him down or stalk him down before launching his ambush , the reworked animation is the turning animation like when the dinosaurs running around it doesnt look realistic , there is some limitation to that , i think they just add 2 kind of animation of walking and running. the transition when changing direction isnt that realistic . so basically they just go straight if the new movement is implemented it will make hunting even more amazing ,since you can see a smooth transtition while running around . the mechanic right now is like they only can go straight and the tails is a physic things that if they change direction it will follow in a slower pace , but their body still looking bad when running around.
- just add like in JPOG the canivore when hunting have no real animation or add animation when the carnivore hit the hitbox like the carnivore should be near enough when chasing the prey to start the animation so they can hit realistically and hurt the prey or if the health is low enough they can add finishing animation.
so this is obviously an idea from jpog experienced but with added more things to make it perfect ,maybe someone could give another idea about this i will definitely wanna hear that. people likely wanna see this kind of system a lot of post like this , good luck :]
