Feature request for Inter Astra service

It's no secret that some stations just don't have an Inter Astra service. You have to look for big stations and find one with an actual employee there. But this could go wrong very quickly. If you've gone too far and, for some reason, wanted to buy a new ship (to visit a specific place in the system, like a Fleet Carrier), and you still have something in your active ship's cargo some hundreds of light-years away, you're stuck. You could either go back on Apex or wait for hours until your ship is transferred to your current location, with no option to dump that cargo. Your only option to buy a new ship is to sell your active one (most likely with engineered modules).

I would like to request a feature addition where the Inter Astra service provides an option not only to sell the ship but also to clear the cargo hold of the active ship. Since credits don't matter much these days, I even agree to dump the cargo for an additional cost with no compensation for its value, cause most of the time it's just limpets.

Thank you!

Correct me if I’m wrong here, but doesn’t the game already clearly indicate on the transfer button that cargo will be discarded if you transfer an/the active ship to your location?

Really?? I missed that one.. You've just saved me an hour!
But still, what if you don't want to lock your active ship for several hours in transfer state just to make a five-minute flight on a Sidewinder? I mean, the Inter Astra service, in my opinion, is not well thought out.

There's definitely some QoL upgrades needed regarding Inter-Astra and Apex. I've never been too far away from my active ship, but I have had to go back to take limpets out of the hold when trying to buy a new ship. I like to take an Apex shuttle from my home base to the station where the new ship is sold/outfitted, so it's annoying having to pop back or deal with a transfer window. I definitely support a dump cargo option.

The other problem I've run into is storing ships at a shipyard where there's no Inter-Astra presence. I wanted to store a small bounty hunting ship on a platform on the edge of a ring where I frequently hunt. The idea was that I could Apex to the platform from home, then hop in the ship for a session, then Apex home again. I understand this a niche desire and most people would just fly back and forth (as I now do), but it seems daft to me that a ship can be stored at a station, while I'm stood on it, but I have no way to make it my active ship.
