Every month we put four amazing Planet Coaster creators in the spotlight; each Featured Creator will have one week dedicated to them, their amazing Workshop, and other wonderful contributions to our community. This final month we are talking to Rudi Rennkamel, Whitesider, Thim_V, and DeLadysigner, who can also be found on the Planet Coaster globe!

One of our most creative... here’s Whitesider!

How did you get started with Planet Coaster?
The truth is, it was all a coincidence. One day I was searching the internet for some kind of creative, construction or similar game, and suddenly something called Planet Coaster appeared in my search. I immediately became interested in the game and followed a lot of people on the internet who already had it. I was shocked to such an extent that I became obsessed, and I kept an eye on every aspect until the official launch. In the meantime my priority was to be able to buy the right equipment to play it, that was my gift from me for me that Christmas.

Tell us a little bit about yourself!
My real age is 39, although I look much younger (LOL). I am a graphic designer and studied fine arts, specializing in painting and drawing. I am also a singer (contratenor) and composer, but I don't dedicate myself professionally to music, it's more of a hobby.

What inspires you?
I look for many photos and in my books. I also look at the jobs that people in the community have done. From there I give free rein to my imagination. It's hard for me to start, but when I see that I'm moving forward, then I cannot stop.

What is your favourite feature in the game?
The copy option is one of my favourite tools; it helps build faster and modify something that's already created. And of course to be able to use each piece and adapt it to the place we want, without limits, I love that.

What makes you and your creations stand out?
I think it's because of my way of building and the way I see things. I try to create different worlds, break the rules and create something where we all want to be. And the game gives me all those possibilities.

Tell us a little bit about your creative process!
Usually the first thing I do is a sketch of what I want to do, and imagine what pieces of the game I can use. I take a long time to create; for health reasons I cannot sit for many hours, so when I decide to do something I have to take my time.

What is your favourite creation so far?
I have several: One of my favourite creations is the Crazy Houses; when I built them, I realized everything I'm capable of doing in the game. The Colossus of Helion, and the elven houses series are also part of my favourites.

How do you feel about being a part of the Planet Coaster community?
This is the first time I have had the opportunity to play and be part of a community of players. I feel very proud and honoured because I have met wonderful people. I am very grateful to all team members for their hard work and constant dedication. I never thought the game would change my life so much.

What’s your favourite mascot?
I'd love to dress up as Cosmic Cow and jump for life!!

Pass on the Praise!
I admire each and every one of the people who share their work with the community. There are people who do incredible things! But I cannot finish without mentioning some of my favourites: Anigmandra, Aritario, Games4Tom, Kimattacks, R3dDragon, Tetsuo, Wikz, Woody, Xaphor, Xtraordinar, Zakman ... all of them are really amazing, their work has inspired me. And my sincere thanks to all who share their working hours, their imagination, and their creativity. And of course the entire Frontier team, for their effort and their constant dedication to make this game unique and the best. I am happy to be here with you. Thank you all!
