Reminder that the Crimson State ambassador was victim of a failed assassination attempt during his visit in Alioth, so there are clearly fed extremists in the area. I bet an alleged "Crimsom State" shooter will conveniently kill her so the new president can blame everyone he hates and call for vengeance. Also the new VP only got the job because the previous VP died in mysterious circumstances. I am betting for a "unity" war presidency with the current shadow president as his new VP.

This could actually make for a fantastic story if played right. Imagine Halsey barely escapes a coup orchestrated by Hudson and Vincent with her life and is rescued by the Alliance. She becomes involved in alliance politics and tries to find a way to reverse the Federtion's slide into a de facto fascist dictatorship from Hudson and the military....
