I've been grinding fed transport and fed navy missions (rank up missions) for hours repeatedly and keep getting in-game mail saying I've reached chief petty officer yet my rank lists 100 percent on both and lists 'Petty Officer' no matter what I do or how many fed navy missions I take to rank up. I took some screenshots. Will we still accumulate towards further ranks whilst the issue is being fixed by Fdev eventually?

Let's hope Frontier takes notice and does something about it soon. The uncertainty of whether or not we accumulate towards our ranks if we continue is a game breaking issue for countless players. Thanking you for your feedback with your issue.
File a bug report else it will go unnoticed sadly. This is sad to hear =(
I am having the same problem. Playing on Odyssey. Been stuck at Petty Officer for a few days. Get the same rank up messages, but not even EDDI is updated
Yeah, that was one of the first things I did. But it didn't do anything. Half a day later and I'm still encountering the issue.

I may have found a workaround. I logged out of odyssey and into horizons to try and complete federal navy mission. It still didn’t work, but when I logged back into odyssey, my rank finally progressed. Hopefully not a fluke if you’ve all already tried that.

Ok, so i just did the opposite. Logged in through Odyssey and Rank was all back to normal. Going to try Horizons to see if thats reset now.
Horizons is still out of step, suspect this bug is down to the new rank structure in Odyssey and it not being fully compatible with Horizons

Having the same issue where I was stuck at Petty Officer on Odyssey. Decided to do the work-around trick and switched over to Horizons, where I saw I'm actually Lieutenant Commander.
Did my typical rep farming route with a federal courier mission in Horizons, making sure it ranked me up properly on this side(Before switch Post Commander), then logged out and switched back to Odyssey to see if it updated. After swapping into Odyssey, I see that I have indeed ranked up, but it shows me as CPO, and not Post Commander like I was in Horizons.
So, good news is, the work-around works, kinda.
Bad news is, it's not attenuating properly on Odyssey's end to accurately reflect your ACTUAL rank.

You were a petty officer when it glitched. Now you're a CPO. CPO is your actual rank. Horizons is glitched out and showing whacky ranks.

I've been having the same problem. Ever since the Odyssey release. Probably a bug. I've been grinding Imperial rank, and have been promoted to Knight three times, but am still stuck on Squire.
So I tried to log into Horizons to kick it out of 'stuck', was briefly terrified when I saw that my Holo-me and keybindings were all back to default, and saw that my Empire rank listed no rank at all. In Odyssey, nothing seems to have changed.
And what, man? Am I seeing things, or is there no way to submit a support ticket here?

Also having this issue. Same rank as OP, oddly enough. Permits issued and appear to be working, but rank won't update and game continues to give me promotion missions.
Swapped from Odyssey to Horizons, Horizons has me at 100% rank as well but as a lieutenant-commander rather than chief petty officer. I suspect repeating the rank-up missions in Odyssey is actually increasing my rank each time, while the fact my rank's staying at 100% means that I just get to skip the rep grind.

It looks like FDev did everything possible to disable our ability to submit a support ticket for Odyssey, instead rerouting all concerns to the bug submission site. There's no way to contact customer service about this. I hope I can continue progressing through this game soon. I understand that they're probably overwhelmed, but that's mighty disappointing from a customer service standpoint. Maybe I should have just stayed on Horizons. Then I'd at least have a Clipper by now.
