Hiya. Sorry for a kinda stilted start to this thread. I've been up for 27ish hours and my minds kinda numb on what all I wanna say.
So, I've only been playing a few months but someone mentioned raxxla to me and I started digging into the various galactic mysteries and trying to unearth as much information as has already been discovered as possible to put me on the right path and I came across a couple thing's combined that make me wonder.
Reading the poem that ends in "seek fibonacci's zephyrum". I had an idea, and forgive me if this has been thought of before, I searched the E-webs to see if anyone else had the same idea but turned up nothing.. but fibonacci's sequence is what was used for the random number generator in the original elite to maximize the 8bits of data into a viable galaxy. They used a similar generator on Elite Dangerous no? (I have a working theory that needs more testing that the numbers in systems are not random, but follow the the same spiral, since it looks the same on any scale. All the sectors would inevitably be shaped in the same pattern at different intervals/sizing depending on the number used in the sequence) Zephyrum, despite now meaning west wind meant zero.. so wouldn't fibonacci's zephyrum in this case be the zero point of the whole galaxy? How much examination of the black hole in Sag A has been done? I got some things to do before I head out there, would much prefer to take a carrier as a mobile base, but I think this bears more examination.
few other random things on my mind,
-"It has been in the game since release [2014]" "FDev “knows why people haven’t been able to find it”"
these two statements combined with the fact space legs has been planned from it's initial release makes me think raxxla isn't a planet, but ON a planet. The Devs comment about WHY we can't find it is telling, it implies that there are or have been certain place guards in effect inhibiting it's discovery. The lack of space legs, would be a shining example. Alot of people I've seen complaining about odyssey being basically a fps add on might be missing the point of it, they needed a marketable product, sure. But it's the exploration it really opens up.
-Raxxla could also be,
-an object like the one found on mars,
-a material (ever notice how we only have some grade 4 raw materials?) Perhaps the gas giant/moon refers to the fact they often have rings. Which we would not look too closely at if our surface probes do not detect hotspots of known substances,
-a ship of alien origins, something that we found in at least semi working order and outfitted. Which could be outside the bubble quite easily now, or traveling in hyperspace. Perhaps outfitted with the metadrives making it untraceable?
-A lost colony an intergalactic roanoke so to speak, perhaps information can be found from it's generation ship, old signal beacons, ect. Something not found to be erased and covered up.
-Something hidden on, or as a orbital station (very surprised nobody has started cataloguing station numbers after drew's comment, looking for a missing station) like, maybe this is part of the thargoid incursions? They're trying to find something, a specific ammonia planet?(if anyone reading this has the specifications for the planet parameters given by the decoded message, please share)
-something akin to the slingshot system used to release and 'catch' ships only on a galactic scale, facilitating intergalactic travel.(mysterious thargoid star map?) They don't seem to use sling shot mechanics in ED for planetary gravity wells, but an excellent place to co-op some gravity in theory would be a black hole.
-which brings me to another thing, we only assume the Oresrians are retreating through are space for bullet shield tactics. Perhaps they are attempting to retreat TO something or somewhere, or locate something that will give them a tactical advantage.
-why the blazes do we call them the guardians? What's the origins of this name? At what point did we decide they used to guard something?
-the club is likely what we think of as the dark wheel as an organization. They had their hands in creating the universal cartographics, could the specifics of raxxla been intentionally made a low value to decrease chances of discovery?
-"You don't know what I've seen. I've sailed beyond the Formidine Rift seen the fleets of Octagonal ships blocking out the stars. I've stood on lost worlds sterilised clean by the Thargoids and erased from humanity's maps. I've seen the graves from the Thargoid wars, countless headstones stretching beyond the curvature of the horizon, little spots of reflected light dottering the abandoned continent."
this has all kinds of nuggets in it imo,
-I think the sailing beyond the formadine rift is a reference to him talking to Drew about the galactic mysteries and being in the know.
-Standing on worlds erased from humanities maps. The lost colony I mentioned? And in order to STAND on such a world we'd need odyssey, I think that's a clue too.
-octagonal ships? Someone said that's the thargoids but, though they are derived from petals, a natural structure that also uses the golden ratio found in fibonacci's sequence, they've never really stood out as octagons to me. Perhaps the guardians had octagonal ships, which would support the idea of a space station type object or object hidden/used as a space station.
-curvature beyond the horizon, a veiled reference to horizons which introduced planetary landings? the curve beyond that would be the next step, odyssey. Foot exploration. Say, it is a ship, perhaps like the thargoid structures we can enter guardian structures, and one which contains the ability to track it's own technology, rendering any obscurification of what would presumably be the actual dark wheel/raxxla itself entirely obsolete.
-the light reflecting off/from an abandoned continent seems odd to me, can't place this one in a category as to why that'd be, but it's out of place.
anywho, I'm spent.. for now lol, Zzzz. Feedback always welcome.
*Randomly updating list already,
-highly speculative idea about the above " sailed beyond the formidine rift and seen the fleets of octagonal ships blocking out the stars.. directly beyond the rift is the void. A place that curiously has no stars, nothing visual beyond it, ect. Which doesn't really align with the rest of the intergalactic view. Wondering if it's not a mass of intergalactic versions of generation ships... Which would draw a similarity between how humanity expanded and possible thargoid intergalactic expansion. They sent out a mass of ships centuries if not thousands of years ago. Then they developed abilities that were Superior to their early drives and expanded here.. waiting on their generation ships to catch up 0.0 (the rift is a rift because that was the jump point they originally arrived in our galaxy from? Think, old school quirium drives and the crap they spewed out, they might have the non trackable drives now, but maybe not always, or maybe intergalactic jumps aren't clean.. curious, we might have blown up the only mother ships they had capable of it, and they showed HIGH interest in the only thing we built that had drives that might be that powerful)
currently planning a trip into the void with the biggest fuel tank I can strap on a ship. See if I can't make my way out there and see. Worse comes to worse, I get a rebuy screen.
-is fibonacci's zephyrum related to the station numbers? Station zero? Must look into the arrangement of stations vs numbers.
