FIGHT CLUB! Fans vs Fanboys, Let's settle this with our fists...

Right,

To be honest I've had it up to the back teeth with you weird fanboys chiming in and defending what has clearly been marked by the devs as bugs. I honestly can't believe it, the majority of the community thinks it's a bug, the devs outright say it's a bug, and yet you chaps come out and defend it regardless. I've genuinely no idea why you would think that this bizarre behaviour would persuade anyone of anything other than your rank sycophancy. Worse, you even try to play down the salient yet inevitable flaws in the game that need to be ironed out, thereby undermining its potential. Be under no illusions, you are the clear enemy of this yet-to-be-finished development cycle. At the moment, for example, a lot of you chaps are pretending that it's eminently possible not to scathe some innocent craft when one crosses one's firing line, even though those of us more experienced in combat than you can readily attest otherwise. Your argument is that it's a skill thing... Well certainly skill can minimise these occurrences, but it can't eliminate them... So let's test your skill...

Do not accuse far superior combat pilots of being non-proficient in combat.... Prove it...

Let's settle this with our fists... Prove you're better combat pilots than us...

So, to the Fanboys Frontier Defence Force (FFDF)... I.e. the enemies of the development cycle, let's settle this with our fists... Stock sidewinders only... Cheap, easy to replace, and no significant skin off anyone's nose...

FIGHT CLUB!

I think your missing the when and where aspect of this entire message... Im sure the "PANEGTPUP faction" (Players Against nurfing every game to please unskilled players - that is ;) ) would be glad to rise up to the challenge!

What if I spill my coffee when the thrusters go?

What if the paintwork gets scratched?

What if I accidentally replace the weapons for more cargo space... the way I fly anything is possible with my ship!

What if I see a juicy mission just before I launch?

Wow, seriously, you have it so easy!

:)

there's already an event going on that is similar called the 'Backbreaker' you need to arange something similar! But make sure everyone involved turns off Report Crimes Against me, :D

I wonder what the OP is so riled up about? The fact that people disagree? If so, he has a long life of disappointment ahead of him.
:
For one, I pretty much suck at combat, and I haven't hit the Authorities but two or three times. Secondly, running to a near by Outpost to say you're sorry, in the form of credits is 'bucket of rocks' simple.
:
In the end, FD has acquiesced to the trigger happy, and there is going to be a grace shot mechanism pit in. Argument settled, you win.

You confuse a bug with game mechanics. You are the first one who thinks FF is a bug. No developer has ever stated that there is a bug involved. Only that it is a game mechanic which is likely to be changed in one of the next updates.

Sticky triggers. For some reason my ship won't stop firing when another ship crosses my line of fire. ;)

yeah I've been in that thread, but I can't tell if the fan boys are in favour or against better NPC AI, there seems to be a bit of fan fervour on both sides...

I'm a fan but too old to be called a boy, I play a lot of sims and appreciate difficulty and complexity, but if I'm using fire control and situational awareness during combat is it such a bad thing to expect the AI to do the same?
Most of the "arguments" on this forum seem to stem from people unable to meet half-way, when they see an opinion different to their own instead of seeing why they just see red.

People argue against changing the AI as they believe it will make the game easier, but they miss two important details. Watch an NPC exit a station, they're stupid and they don't suddenly become intelligent during a fight. 2nd, more intelligent AI will also increase CMDR Vs NPC difficulty, instead of that NPC cobra sitting right in my line of fire maybe after the update he may start evading!
