COMPLETED CG Fight for the Empire with the Regulatory State of Ackwada

I jumped in with a full load of passengers cabins, like a fool... but seems are no need for that, right ?
Will be only a boom-boom CG ?! Cuz I confess, the in-game description say something about passengers in need to evacuate...
Can anyone share some light on this, please ?

Glitchiness Alert!

Before targeting a red and firing, double check that it is actually an enemy!
One of my friendlies had turned red (yes, ONE only).
If I hadn't noticed he was on my side, that would have turned the whole CZ red.
After winning the CZ, all the friendlies ganged up on a friendly Cutter. Yes, after the enemy had left.
Seems like the return of an old bug. 😬 🤦‍♀️
Not sure this is a bug - isn't it just a response to friendly fire incidents? Hit a friendly "gently" and they just moan at you, hit them enough to annoy, that ship turns red for you. If he dies soon enough after though (or due to extreme hit count from you), the whole "friendly" side goes red. You're fine until the end of the battle but after that though, time to go as they'll all turn on you!

So, three stages?
I'm not sure. Last CG I did 48 million, no issues.
This one, I'm seeing it in most CZs, either aggro at me, or between NPC allies (including the occasional defense turret on the Megaship).
I'm definately not hitting the turrets.
I'll keep an eye on it.

They did 48 billion with capital class ships paying 500K every time... they cant do that now they have to do it the old school way this time No short cuts..
And this side also gets cutters to kill this time which have easy to hit power plants after shleld drops that pay 200K+ this time...
The balance is more equal with short cuts removed...

I've killed cutter that only paid 45k, only the odd ball paid 200k+.

And to quote South park: I'm staying out of this one.
No rewards - doesn't include me. I'll go and shoot some rocks.

Keep an eye out for that ~200K random cutter price Kill chance.. its a waste of a good ship but it can be needed to be done...

As part of the power play Patreus team I have a few question and have not figured out where to ask, so I just try here. Can anyone from FDEV explain: why a community goal was shaped, so that "winning for the Empire" means damaging the Patreus Orannika sphere with yet another dictatorship the Patreus power play team will have to clean up later? Why have the last two CGs had a direct negative impact on Power Play game play, specifically Patreus? I'm getting a distinct impression FDEV has an institutional bias against the Empire/Patreus. Could it be FDEV considers Power Play is so far gone and forgotten by the player base, impacts on it does not need to be factored in to the CG mini-game? Finally, if this is not a venue for getting insight on why this pattern continues to show itself, could someone suggest a better source to obtain a better understand this game?

After pixel counting the linear scale from first page in gimp art program tier targets are for this sides CG only...
Tier 1 Target = 500 million
Tier 2 Target = 1 billion
Tier 3 Tagret = 6.25 billion
Tier 4 Target = Guess Yep 12.5 billion.
and
Tier 5 Target = yep you got it still 25 billion...

So far it's looking interestingly close. Going by the figures on inara:

Commanders on both sides are, on average, fighting roughly as hard for their respective sides as each other - 1.11 million per cmdr for the empire and 1.18 million per cmdr for the marlinists.
The marlinists have 845 cmdrs to the empire's 466 - a 1.8:1 ratio.
In terms of bonds cashed so far, the marlinists have a 1.9:1 lead.

However, the final goal is shorter for the empire: 25 billion to the marlinists' 45 billion, which is... a 1.8:1 ratio.

Assuming the goalposts don't move at all, this could be very interesting to watch. The numbers pledged so far and the amount of work for both sides is almost exactly proportionate to the difference in goals. It'll be very interesting to see how things pan out after the weekend.

Me? The local industrial-anarchy-with-no-rings has just gone into boom so I'll be sitting this one out emptying all these T7s of their tasty diamonds.

That one juicy Cutter cost me half of ammunition (inc./corr.) on MC-only Corvette
Made me reconsider the setup and maybe go back to beams only or mixed.

You only need one corrosive (preferrably on a small high cap gimbal or turret with a good field of view). Then subtarget the PP and shoot it with something with a high piercing factor - super penetrator, if your weapon supports it, helps.
Incendiary MCs are essentially Pulse Lasers from effect, with less power usage but also finite projectile speed. There was, some time ago, a change that converted all of their output to thermal. I'm not 100% sure on that, so if anyone has better knowledge, please correct me if I'm wrong.

My loadout on my Mamba is:
2 cytoscramblers (OC/phasing) to take out the shields
2 gimballed beams (efficient/thermal vent) to keep up pressure (and deal with agile fighters)
1 focussed plasma to slap Cutter PPs into submission 😁

If I can manage to hit the PP, it takes three shots. Which means that I have a hit rate of about 1 in 10 🤫 .
