Finally a brutally nice update.....

Returning themes and returning rides are a big win with me. Frontier is on the right track to flip my review from "not recommended" to "recommended." I'll be letting my friends know the game is ready around July if Frontier is able to stick to their plans. Definitely appreciate the great work improving Planco 2! Fantasy scenery, a scenario editor, and TMTK are the 3 things remaining on my list of wants from Planco 1.

I'm ok with seasonal DLC if that appears later this year. Likewise, I'm also ok with paying for midway games and railroad crossings since they'd be completely new.
Same as me. I think i will also be changing m,y review in June.

It may be a very long shot at this point but i wonder what the possibility we will see true multiplayer get worked on a bit later in the games life?

I think that would be one of the biggest features if they did.

Ugh, for me the update is mixed.

The features are nice, but i can't point it out, it doesn't wow me. Probably the on ride photos are nice, but it feels the rest is catching up: Restaurants are nice, but we had the food stalls, kerbless is amazing, but there are so many ways to cover kerbs up, invisible path yay, but also you can allign floors to the exact same point that they cover the path.

For me it feels frontier is still catching up and i kind of miss really new Features besides the appreciated QoL features, so standing 7 months, there was not much 'new' added to the game. That diffretiate the product from it's predecessors.

My take on this is that this updates has some very good features and fixes we all been asking for a long time for. Very good indeed and an encouraging sign (FINALLY) from the devs!

But I also do agree with Valdo82 above. There is nothing new or groundbreaking in the update. Th majority of the stuff we already had at one point or anothe rin the past (heck, onsite photos we had back in RCT1) and it feels like we are still trying to get back up to the surface to be even with the baseline from the previous titles. I keep asking myself, when will this title live up to its sequel status? It sure does not feel like PC2 is 9 years newer than PC1. In 9 years, there should be major improvements.

The main issue with the game are still the guest AI (not addressed at all and now we add more staff to an already broken function), a very clunky (at best) UI not made for users and the complete failure of the Frontier Workshop. None of these items have been addressed yet, not are being discussed at all from the team. That worries me a lot as it doesn't matter how many nice features, scenery pieces etc. we get if the game itself is not working and the UI is fighting you around every corner. It will be a quick test and then not played because it is too tedious to use, which is sad because the features added are nice.

Damn and i almost agree with you :p

Though i must admit pure guest AI has improved a lot over the patches and it is quite ok, the needs are ok, the ai corrects itself (guests are heading to the wrong toilet), the act and interact with scenery.
The most issues are more in the mid to late game (if you take parkrating as game scale) where the ai starts to break more often. So it is clunky, but bearable but with increased sample size more bugs occur.

Yes, PC2 is catching up to PC1. We definitely have to wait for the end of June (or further extended roadmap) to see more fixes. There are still minor and major things to fix (especially water rides)...
But where will we be then? Will we reach the state of PC1 with just some new features (we already got since release), or will we see a sequel that's really worth it (with a lot of surprisingly new features)?

Actually it seems that they are listening to the community (hopefully not short term) and that Frontier is showing an indication that PC2 could have a bright future...

Actually the release of GTA6 has been delayed from autumn 2025 to 26th of May 2026 (quality first decision).
If Frontier was financially able to do so, they should have done the same!

Yes, that's possible and Frontier wouldn't have lost a lot of reputation...

Releasing a working product, but with some delays (assuming it is well communicated), is always a million times better than rushing out something (that is not labeled beta, early access etc.) that doesn't work as intended, making your customers frustrated and angry. Hopefully Frontier learned this lesson as well for future releases.

You basically say it in your first sentence: They are catching up, i dont mind a buggy release as long as they are working on it and let's say the 'reputation loss' is really not that big as many people think. CPR and Rocksteady (pre-Suicde squad) all had a quite good reputation besides horrific Arkham Knight / Cyberpunk 2077 releases, far worse than the PC2 one.

What i do mind, is lacking creativity, if i want PC1 with all its features and options, i play pc1. But i want a new take on it, like a sequel should be and for me it feels the game is getting more and more PC1 with better graphics and this game was not titled as a remaster ;)

This is exactly it! Everyone is excited about the "new" features being added. But in reality, it is still just PC1 with some raytracing (has its own set of issues). I sequel should go far beyond what the previous game did, not just copy it. Even EA is adding more new stuff in their annual released of FIFA, NHL etc. than what Frontier so far has done with PC2, and they have had 9 years to work on it (I realize they hav enot worked full time for 9 years, but there are expectations with that long time between the titles).

Well I dont care about if its new or not and as always it should have been in since release.. but since it wasnt and I fought so hard to get it back in Im super glad it finally is. Just hope it all now work as well. But the fight is far from done..Much left to fight for.
