Am a latecomer to the Viper, own pretty much every ship in game now except the new ships. Have bought quite a few Vipers in the past, always end up leaving it in the station because I couldn't stand the cockpit in the DK2, all the other ships are amazing in virtual reality, to me the Viper felt like sitting in a trash can, no real character to the ship.
Well I was a complete fool! Whilst out shopping for a Vulture I decided to take one of my Vipers and stick with it on the 100LY journey to pick up the Vulture. The ship is a beast
Growls like a wounded tiger and kicks ass in all the RES sites I have visited while enroute. Fly's and lands beutifully with FA OFF. 100LY later and the cockpit has grown on me
Am sure this is all obvious to seasoned Viper pilots, but for me it's great to know that after spending hundreds of millions on the big ships, I can jump into something like this and get a huge grin on my face. This is a muscle car with guns welded to the front
For those in a hurry to buy the heavy hitters like the Python/Anaconda, yes they are great, but I still have a blast in my Cobra, my Eagle comes out sometimes for some crazy asteroid flying, and now my Viper's will see a lot of action going forward.. insurance is cheap, time for some suicide SSS adventures
