Finally - got my own Anaconda :)

Congratulations!
Got my Conda after a week of smuggling missions before the nerf. Got ~300kk and just bought it.
I don't use it much cause i don't like "big" ships.
But for sure it's a great vessel and i don't think i'll exchange it to Corvette\Cutter, cause those ships just don't worth it for me in todays ED realities.

TBH, what comes to Cutter - the only thing it truly shines with is the amount of stuff it can haul (720+ tons while being able to completely ignore (or obliterate) anything that interdicts you... NPCs at least - best to just leave the player wings bite the dust if your ship isn't combat fitted to the boot).

Had a 'conda. Sold the 'conda to get a Cutter (to amass some quick Cr with missions/trading/BH/etc). Will get 'conda back, rig it for exploration and hit the pedal towards the unknown (once again).

It's hard to not like the 'conda once you get a hang of it. Before I bought my own I was pretty much like "meh! Lumbering piece of **** that can't do squat" - which opinion changed about the moment I flew it out of the station :D

The only thing I don't like in the 'conda is that it's so hard to see in pitch dark where the hoot your nose is!

Just watch out when you're going to take out an Exploraconda though. I just did that last night; I wanted to start my travel to the Formidine Rift. I wanted to pick up some materials for jump boosts so had to land on a planet. This one was only 0,5g, but I was used to my A7 thrusters instead of the D5’s I slapped on for more jump-range. Suffice it to say I had to turn around only 240 ly out of the bubble with my tail between my legs and with 46% hull… Ouch.

Yea, thought to practice before setting out. Have some practice with Cutter and shoddy thrusters, so that oughta help some as 'conda's not quite as unforgiving (have no experience with seriously downgraded rigging though). So far the "worst", or should I say, most thrilling, landing was onto 2.33G planet so far (with the weakest thrusters a Cutter can have) - am glad that at the moment the ship had shields that were backed up with 7 boosters... one booster less and I'd been for a hefty repair bill (if not rebuy screen). Serious practice with landings needed XD

I nearly did that this week, 2g world, D rated thrusters and I hit downward thrusters when lining up to land didn't I...

Realised my mistake just in time, 4 pips to SYS, nose up and PANCAKE. :D

Only lost two shield rings luckily!

It takes a wee bit of practice to land proper on high-G worlds :D

Glad you avoided the rebuy screen (and following nerd rage).
