Finally made the switch to PC, help me out.

Its out of date now, I built it last year. Even then I chose the best of the cheaper components, not the bleeding edge, wallet shredding stuff.
Dead happy with it though, the ssd is a revelation. click the gimp icon and boom, the whole program is open and ready. Way better than waiting for a hdd to spin up.

The thing about going from xbox to pc is, you already really know how to make money, the hardest bit is getting rid of the sidey for something more capable like a cobra, isn't it?

I don't think my sidey lasted more than an hour :)
Got an I courier fer fightin', Aspx fer explorin' and a dolphin for ferryin' now. Thinking about knocking them all in for a python, but I want a few more million in the bank to a grade what needs doing and to bung some good weps on it. If it's anything like the xbox, then I'll sit in that ship until I have 'conda money. I love my xbox 'conda.

Like others, Bounty Hunt. Go to a Low Risk Extraction Site and don't start any fights yourself. Tag the bad guys and follow around until someone lights them up. Join the fray for all your little gunship is worth. This way you get credit without being a Hero and losing your ship. If you have money and room for a Kill Warrant Scanner, you can make a lot more cash quickly. Just get a D rated scanner as the cost isn't so great. Also, If you follow my tips then you wont really need Lazers, just load up with Multi-cannons as you will be hitting them when the shields are down anyway. Good Luck.

I'm going to see if there are any bargains on Black Friday.

You've already got the money for a Python? Well that's you got all the money you need 'cause that's the best ship in the game <grin>

Any extra money you get now is just a bonus.

Good point. Yeah. Everything bar the anaconda felt like a downgrade from the Python.
It's the closest to the old Elite Cobra out of any ship in the game imo.

I do love that icourier though, a proper racing machine and I have mine with 2 bursts on the nacelles and a G5 long railgun in the middle. Great for taking out bounties (It has enough speed to get me out of Dodge when my poor dogfighting skills become an issue)

It has to be asked. PC specs?

I converted from Xbox to PC for almost all of my gaming a little over a year ago when I built my first PC (previously a web/graphic guy so I had a mac)

Asus X99-AII, i7-6800k, 32GB 3200MHz DDR4, Gigabyte GTX1070 OC 8GB, Samsung 950 PRO NVMe SSD (seriously crazy upgrade that you really do feel) all powered up and cooled down by bequiet! fans and power supply because my PC is on top of my desk, so loud wasn't acceptable. Next up I would like to get an electric standing desk just because I like to change position when in front of the screen for long periods. After that it is an Oculus, and probably an X-56 Hotas or a dual stick setup with rudders which I'll build a chair to accommodate.

After all that, it'll probably be time for a GPU upgrade so whatever the latest enthusiast top of the line (like a 1080ti). I built this PC to this spec knowing the motherboard, cpu, and RAM would all be relevant for some time moving forward so I put a 1070 in it knowing eventually the only thing I'd need to upgrade for several years would be the GPU. I also am pretty into shooters, mainly Rainbow Six Siege, where refresh rate and high stable frames matter.

All of this would do me little good without a monitor to show the pixels and the speed to make em honest, I got a 40% off special from NewEgg on a Dell Gaming 27 inch, 144Hz, g-sync monitor which took it down to $440, and that's the only display I currently run, since I eventually intend to go VR.

Way to make the swap OP, its a different and better world, you can map your flight and fight controls to controller and still set up your keyboard like a console full of utility only functions for everything else, freeing up a lot of custom button mapping options. Also, if you're never going back like I wasn't, FDev will make a one way, irreversible liquidation of your total assets from Xbox and deposit them to your PC CMDR. The Xbox CMDR is deleted and ranks/ships/modules do not transfer, but the fund boost is nice if you're not going back anyway.

Yea I was looking into that, no i dont plan on going back to the xbox version. I submitted a ticket to the support team about the 1 time transfer, is that right? I was sure how to get it done so i just submitted a ticket about it.

Yep that's it exactly. They'll ask you to confirm and then a day or two later the creds will just show up.
