I live by a river. I can get to work via that thing!

(My work isn't near a river, but that's a minor detail)

My car just cost me £250. Lol
Alternator went.

I'm already skimping as much as I can now, with the exception of Netflix. I love Netflix. Life isn't worth living without Netflix. Lol

I'll keep my phone. I might try and install a newer custom ROM to see if I can squeeze some more life / performance out of it.

No take aways (except the odd fish and chips, because it costs less than buying ingredients for food somehow...?).
And I'm going to do loads of overtime once my car is fixed (on Monday), and look for a better paid regular job until I can go for a "real" job.

I'm still going on holiday. Lol

Of course, I could solve all of my problems by escaping in to the woods in Seattle, to live the rest of my life as a bear.
Google earth or the US government will never find me in those vast forests!

or just go hunting and stuff the meat in the freezer, or sell the meat to the yuppies, as organic meat oooooh win win....
use a bow and you can charge more because it's done without guns, that should raise the price by 40%

I don't get it with the phones. The new iphone x cost upwards of $1000!!! Crazy. My teenagers, (check the username), want the latest stuff to keep up with their friends. I say fine, you can have what you want, when you can afford to buy it yourselves.

Two years ago I purchased a vodafone smart ultra 6 phone, sim only. It cost £115 from Argos. Unlocked it via ebay and put an EE card in there. It's still working beautifully now and does everything I need.

Two years ago I purchased a vodafone smart ultra 6 phone, sim only. It cost £115 from Argos. Unlocked it via ebay and put an EE card in there. It's still working beautifully now and does everything I need.

I don't understand why anyone would pay £1000 for a phone. Or even £600+.

My Nexus 5 cost £300 new, and I considered that a lot (but it's been worth it).

My phone does need to be fairly powerful, I often use it as my sat nav for work, and play games on it (PUBG Mobile runs like a bag of crap. Lol). And I don't like waiting forever for apps to open and close.

But I don't need a 4k screen (I can't even see the pixels on my 1080p / 5" screen!), or for it to be made of rare earth metals, or be in fashion. Or begin with "i".
Plastic is fine by me. Lol

I do want slow motion video recording though. I was messing with it on my girlfriends iPhone, recording my cat do funny things, and now I must have it. Lol

well not really, but i wish I did, now I got a company phone, so I don't have any expenses regarding phone.
