What is the difference between a RES site? Besides the obvious miners in a RES.

Has anyone attempted to map all the known beacons to see if there's a geometric pattern, e.g. bubble or line of affected systems ?

Please add Orrere to the list. After seeing the Lore article about the fall of Orrere, I thought I'd check it out myself. Sure enough, there's even a compromised Nav there. It's no longer an anarchy system so The Code ships now show up as wanted with nice bounties!
