Finding Good Asteroid Belts

While exploring is broken I want to set my sights on mining..

I was a jump away from a belt I stumbled across while exploring. So I heard.over but not sure what the rocks contained. Started chipping away and got a few different things from different rocks.

What I am looking for is the good stuff tho.. gold.. plat.. where and how to I come.across that

You need to find belts that are in good condition, you can check their condition on the System Map. You are looking for Major Reserves or if you can find them, the best ones are Pristine Reserves. You then want to find belts that are 'High Metal Content', or if you can find them, the best ones are 'Metallic', but these are rare.

So the belts you are looking for are "Pristine Reserves" with "Metallic" asteroids...this is where you will find the best stuff. But this combination is also the hardest to find...

Do I need a basic scanner to detect the make up of the belt?
